Thu, 08 Dec 2011Tracks like Mi Mujer, Bandido, the Beach, Russian Dolls, Disco Loco... are all danceable tempos. He could have built the set around movers like that with interludes using tracks like Marquises or Sunflowers but instead, it seemed he did the opposite. Plus, I really took issue with the way he used the mixer throughout the set. Regularly killing the low end sapped any energy the set had and made his tracks sound like they were coming through computer speakers.

Mon, 28 Nov 2011Have you never seen Jaar before? His sets are always sleepy. He plays extremely downtempo.

I think it's great, but it is always a little surprising to me how many people pack into the club for music that's generally not really danceable.

Sun, 27 Nov 2011I was sorely disappointed. Instead of a thumping sweatbox we got a DJ ill prepared to showcase his amazing productions in a live setting. The set was sleepy, never building momentum and wavering between danceable and lethargic BPM's at all the wrong moments.
