Having delivered a series of packed-out parties on the infamous Cargo terrace throughout the summer, EIVISSA SOUL are back with a vengeance!
Since unleashing their eclectic sounds onto the underground music scene just over a year ago, this aspiring party brand has been captivating the attention of house music aficionados from across the UK, Europe and beyond.
With some of the finest monthly Underground parties set to grace London this winter season, EIVISSA SOUL brings you a new monthly winter residency every first Saturday of the month, consisting of early-evening/late-night parties from Cargo's urban terrace yard into their reputable Main Room.
Former special guests include Saytek, Dzeta N' Basile and Silky, to name but a few...But now comes their most high-profile guest DJ to-date...Nyra joins Deepmilo and EIVISSA SOUL residents Alex Maxwell, Ian Tucker, James Levey and Darren D, to provide you with arguably the most explosive Guy Fawkes night you will ever experience...
Very Special Guest:
(Logistic, Fear Of Flyer, Freund der Familie, Be As One)
Born of Northern descent, from the humble surroundings of Sheffield, and still only in his modest-twenties, Ryan Davis aka Nyra has already achieved so much...Travelling across the globe, DJing from the Black Sea to Canada, Space Ibiza, Miami WMC, Sonar festival in Barcelona, Extrema festival in Holland, and the ADE in Amsterdam, Nyra truly portrays the best of British Underground.
What has propelled him so quickly into the ears, hearts and sets of so many people is his undeniable passion, technique, and breathtaking ability to cover a huge amount of musical ground while always remaining absolutely on point with his selection, guided by an innate sense of rhythm, musicality and flow...
Deep, low slung and stripped back, his blending of grooves loosely fit under the banner of house and techno and have a timeless quality, with his crate digging hunger giving him such an armory of music to fill his sets that he literally can play all night long. You often don’t know whether he’s playing old or new tracks, unless you’re one of the few who have the musical depth to be aware of the often obscure musical gems he’s dug out from god knows where. Then again, part of the joy of Nyra’s sets is the fact that he’s going to take you somewhere you probably haven’t been before, bringing a fresh angle to the dance floor that everybody enjoys .
As a producer Nyra is also incredibly adept at reducing grooves to their bare essence, a minimalist approach but without tracks sounding sterile. Always with maximum rhythmical interest and always inventive. Not obvious, they tend to be oblique excursions into groove science.
Nyra’s new tracks are presently causing a real stir amongst the Beatport community, with his release schedule set-to noticeably increase as we move into 2012. Releasing his fresh material on Logistic Label, alongside the infamous Ricardo Villalobos, further substantiates the talent of the man.
In an age when everything is available to everyone, all the time, at the click of the mouse, things become about more than just access to tracks, it's knowing which to pick out of the sea of content washing over-us-all…..and of course where to place them...It's back to the original skill at the heart of DJing vibe maintenance. This is Nyra’s core strength. It’s an ability that belies his age, and is testament to how dedicated he’s been to his art since obtaining his first set of decks at the tender age of 16. He has thrown himself completely into the world of electronic music since this point.
Deepmilo has been in and around the music industry for almost 10 years now, floating in and out of genres from Live to Electronic music and everything in-between...
However, in the last 3 years, Deepmilo has upped his speed, and has been gracing the turntables at some of London's most respectable partying venues, representing leading brands such as Saved Sundays, Circo Loco, Hat Club, Antidote, Pedestrian Junction and Headroc, whilst modestly rubbing shoulders with some of the world's biggest electronic artists such as Carl Cox, Nic Fanciulli, Richard Dinsdale, Hector Couto, Henrik B, Boy George to name but a few.
Aside from his growing repertoire of high-end gigs, Deepmilo is not just a deck technician, but also finds himself gracing the studio on a regular basis, and producing his own musical material. With a debut album set for release in early 2012, on 'Endemic Digita' (Voted "Label of the Month" in DJ Mag,July 2011), the future is very bright for this modest 25 year old Londoner.
Passion is central to all-things Deepmilo, contributing 110% with every set he plays, every track he produces and every event he attends. It is therefore fair to conclude that this baby-faced musical assassin will be the perfect complement to the Eivissa Soul vibe at Cargo on Saturday 5th November.
