Are you sitting comfortably? Then I’ll begin.
Evolution is the key and December 10th will mark the next stage in the development of Collect! from a stooping Neanderthal into an upright and self aware super being.

Pre party in conjunction with Dalen Light at Brezza coffee shop just off Charter Square. A perfect deep housey warm up in these new, cool as fuck and previously un-partied surroundings. Procedings to be led by fellow Sheffield house enthusiast Carl Dean. Licensed bar and, I guess, coffee. Top notch.
Back Rooms
We are proud to invite two young and exciting labels into the bowels of Snow Lane for the first time. Both Itchy Pig and 2019 are innovative, varied in output and representing Sheffield in a big way across the wide world of electronic music. Buy local! It’s fresher, tastier and is delivered straight from your butcher.

To further embellish this early seasonal gift we will be opening a first floor seating area with stalls, food and a photo booth. The Snow Lane Rooms part of DLS is really taking shape now and going through it’s own development. A kind of bricks and mortar puberty just without the mood swings. Expect it a bit different each time you come.
Below you can read all of the associated artist bumf about the stars of the show. Behold!
Oliver Ho (Raudive)
Oliver is a long serving member of the techno community and a true
artist and innovator. Since his early releases on James Ruskin's
seminal Blueprint label through to his current Wires imprint, he has
continued to push the boundaries of techno, house & experimentalism to
new unheard levels. It's his latest Raudive moniker however that
encapsulates all the sounds & styles perfected over the years,
resulting in an artist with true depth and character. Ben (Set 2)
caught him at the legendary Orbit club near Leeds in the late 90's and
more recently in Bristol, each time enthusiastically reporting back
nothing short of a techno master class. His ability to fuse driving
techno funk with hypnotic ethereal vocals and texture, creates rising
sense of tension which is quite unique and put simply, f*ckin mind
blowing! His music sounds as fresh as anything you will find on the
market, combined with an experimental feel that is ultra-modern and
essentially 'Raudive'. His list of label releases is endless and the
list of top venues conquered looks similarly impressive.
Frankly, if you don’t like this you don’t like techno.
We are proud to have a man of his talent & stature join us and the
best crowd in the north.

MiniCoolBoyz
These two have been on our wish list for a while and if you’ve seen me
and Benji (Set 2) play over the last eighteen months the chances are
you’ve heard some of their stuff. They are from the new breed of
decidedly quality Italian techno producers but will be flying in from
their new base in Berlin to grace us with one of their outstanding
live sets. Boasting recent productions on Dubfires Sci+Tec imprint and
their own no nonsense (and rather aptly named) Amazing Records amongst
a plethora of others, expect low down, four-to-the-floor techno bombs,
and tech house so hard it'll knock your teeth out... You know how we
like it here! If you don't believe us, download their latest mix from
the link provided, stick it through a Dangernoise rig and find out for
your self. Or just turn up on said date.
Any way... They have been taking the German capital by storm since
their move and I’m sure you will agree that there are few better ways
to break in the winter party season.

Moodymanc
aka Danny Ward seems to be popping up in all the right places recently. To many the name is fresh on the house music scene and in such a short space of time (since about 2007) has worked with and for many artists and labels. Many are keen to have his skills and style on board and the same can definitely be said for him. Danny is a true example of a person who undoubtedly enjoys being involved with music – and thankful are we. Having put the Moodymanc stamp on artists like Affkt, The Youngsters, and Ralph Lawson alongside labels such as Lawson’s very own 20:20 Vision, Manchester’s superb Development label, Baker Street, Italy’s Neurotraxx and the inevitably great Tsuba Records, it’s clear to see his style is in demand.
The fact of the matter is the history of Moodymanc spans way before the name. Danny started out (and still is respectively) as a drummer. Under his initial name of Dubble D (Moodymanc is the name he uses for all things ‘house’), he has worked with the likes Rae & Christian, Fila Brazilia, Fingathing (the unusually great and darker side of Jazz) Veba (superb vocals!) and the legends who are The Pharcyde. The fact of the matter is that not only does he enjoy music, he is music.
We are fortunate enough to welcome him bring the Moodymanc venture to the start of Itchy Pig back room sessions. You would have to be extremely unusual not to appreciate and enjoy this outcome.
Deno
Deno is no stranger to Sheffield’s scene. As well as being an artist, he can also be considered an icon and innovator. Deno has been playing records for quite some time. Holding residencies in the very up-market scene of Chuff-Chuff, he can undoubtedly be thanked for bringing his style and flare to the music scene here in little old Sheffield. However this nearly wasn’t the case. Although he had been a keen collector of all things good, his first gig came about when one of the local nights was nearly put on hold when the DJ for the night had his record collection stolen while bringing them to the event. Unlucky for him, very lucky for Deno and everyone who has ever heard Deno control a crowd. Suitable for only the finest of events, we are fortunate and excited to welcome him to the first of the back room sessions.
And finally, being the first of the Itchy Presents… events, it was obvious the creator of the label played a selection of his finest at the event.
Sir Vinyl Instinct
Sir Vinyl Instinct is internationally known more for his label and productions rather than his DJ skills – however this is sure to change. The brains behind Itchy Pig Records, he is getting to work with some of the greatest names around. His releases are respected for being hard to pigeonhole into genres; and rather than take on various monikers for his varying styles, he prefers to put them all out under the same name. Having recently been asked to produce America’s critically acclaimed Eduardo Pratti’s new album, he is also working on his album, both of which will be released under the guidance of his own label.
