Agnès is known for his usual deep, dubbed-out minimal techno productions crafted with house-influenced rhythms and textures. His no holes approach to the usually skeletal minimal genre manages to stay rich and melodic, yet abstact, full of quirks and dark elements.
In 2003, Agnès' Geneva-based label Sthlmaudio Recordings has released tracks by Agnès, Puma, Octex, Apoll, Cabanne, Croatian producers Luka & Lazo and UK duo Tom Demac & Duckett.
Agnès also has a well received EP on Cabanne’s Minibar label (’Treat Me Bad’) and releases on Plak Records, Einmaleins Musik and Perspectiv Records.
But it wasn't until Agnes and Ripperton's 2007 Gardenland's EP that this Geneva-based producer caught the mass attention of DJs in the U.S., sparking curiousity about his gender (male, not female) and origins (Switzerland, not Sweden).
With a new label, 60Sec, done collaboration with French producer and fellow Geneva resident Lee Van Dowski (Num Records, Cadenza, Plak, Mental Groove, Soma, BPitch Control), Agnes is helping position Geneva as the emerging destination for electronic dance music.
Catch a special live set by Agnes during in his first U.S. tour, during San Francisco's Love Fest weekend.
