Changing Room emerged in 2006 with two annual editions, “Frío” (Cold) –taking place in December- and “Calor” (Hot) –taking place in June. The initiative managed to establish itself at a national and international level as the independent fashion benchmark and event in the city of Barcelona, Spain.
Changing Room is an EPHEMERAL MEGASTORE open to the public for 10 hours, 1 day, every 6 months in a hotel in Barcelona. In each edition, Changing Room selects 25 international designers and gives them one hotel room each in order to present their creations. Thus, each room is filled by limited productions showing the best of national and international design.
It is a platform for both, promotion and sales open to the public, bringing together different tendencies and styles and where visitors and creators are able to interact with each other. Throughout the day, the public also enjoys continued DJ sessions from the coolest DJs of the moment.
As an innovative and creative project, Changing Room always attracts the media. This is a unique concept. Fashion had never before had used hotel rooms as a display window. The success of each and all of its editions confirms it with more than 2,500 visitors in one day. Glamour and modernity intertwine in a cosmopolitan project that radiates trend, where all rooms are occupied by the best independent fashion innovators.
