Blacksmif
"Eclectic electronica producer - 'Blacksmif' is the moniker of London-based-and-bred Yemi Olagbaiye. The strength of Blacksmif, much as his name suggests, lies in his ability to carefully forge and meld a host of genres, melodies and instruments into one signature sonic formula. Manipulated samples at the heart of his tracks resonate over crackling vinyl effects and combine with synthesised hooks. If he carries on coming up with this kind of atmospheric, spine-tingling produce, he’s bound to attract widespread attention soon..."

Mo Kolours
Half-Mauritian percussionist & singer Mo Kolours, unites an array of more familiar influences with the Sega music of his island roots. a London-based musician with an ear tuned to every corner of the globe. Mixing eccentric hip hop à la Gonjasufi with King Sunny Ade’s strangely psychedelic, drum-led juju and the Sega music of his father’s native Mauritius, Joseph’s recent ‘EP1: Drum Talking’ is an unassumingly great sonic gumbo; a veritable lesson in how to say plenty with a minimum of musical information.

The Stool Pideon
There’s a sense of spontaneity at the heart of Mo Kolours’ music and much of the music he loves: Jimi Hendrix, Nina Simone, King Tubby and many more. Like the best records, the result is so much more than just the sum of its influences: it’s a new feeling which breathes fresh life into the past and keeps its eyes set firmly on the future.
