Promoter / White Label™ DJs
Crimson Lounge is excited to partner with Bacardi USA to present the December lineup of Commonwealth Wednesday, a communal weekly industry night. On Wednesday, December 7, Commonwealth will feature the dynamic Chicago born DJ Mazi together with DJ and White Label co-founder Sadie Woods from 9:00pm until 2:00am. Head to Crimson Lounge for Commonwealth to experience what Time Out Chicago calls "a mid week haven of sultry underground sounds.”
Mazi Namvar, also known as Audio Soul Project, is one of the most established house producers to come from Chicago. He began releasing music in 1994 and has created hundreds of original songs and remixes. Mazi spins all over the world and has been an Artist and Repertoire executive at several respected record labels including his own Fresh Meat Records, Gourmet Recordings, and the much missed Afterhours. A seasoned deejay with over twenty years of experience, Mazi has made appearances at renowned clubs such as Fabric in London, Space in Ibiza, Crystal in Istanbul, Q in Zurich, Avalon in Los Angeles, Masai in Varna, Level in Bahrain, Red Light in Paris, and Simoon in Tokyo. With his Audio Soul Project, Mazi has released two multifaceted albums, the first, ‘Community” in 2002 on NRK, and most recently, “Hip Shake Heartache” on Fresh Meat in 2011, which moves elegantly between deep house, disco, and more psychedelic cadences. His productions rely heavily on live performance, inventive synthesis, real machine music, creative sampling, and swingy drum programming to capture a vibe that is as dynamic as it is authentically house. Mazi continually works on remixes; his recent credits include Joshua Iz and Chez Damier’s “Sentimental Love” on Vizual Records, Boogie Drama’s “Floating On A Cloud” on Real Estate Records, Dairmount&Berardi’s “Bass-Ment Tale” released on Room With A View and Nick Harris “Elementary,” put out by Fresh Meat which has been licensed for an upcoming Visionquest DJ mix on Fabric’s critically acclaimed mix series.
