Just when we thought we'd thrown our last LPH for 2011, we slip one more in before the new year! To be fair, though, the one happening on Saturday, December 17 at indieScreen (the Williamsburg joint at which we did the Tiger & Woods event) isn't ours alone: our good friends over at UNO asked us to help them out, and, considering the lineup they have set up, it was hard to say no.
UNO is celebrating the release of their new 12"―THE TWILITE TONE's "Mean Machine―with a proper Brooklyn bash. Spinning alongside the legendary New York by-way-of Chicago producer and DJ is the icon FARLEY JACKMASTER FUNK, PRINCE LANGUAGE of The No Comprendo, and another awesome UNO roster member, EDDIE MARS. For those of you who don't know, Twilite Tone also goes by Master Khan and Great Weekend and is acclaimed for being Common's producer from the get-go as well as his on-tour DJ.
So come out and see what these old school greats are all about and dance the night away with us! It will be a night to remember to say the least.
