Weetamix is celebrating it's 18th BIRTHDAY!! Since its opening in 1994, Weetamix has offered you unforgettable nights, crazy parties, new sensations and helped you discover new artists. Now it's your turn to make us smile. Come shake that tail feather with Dimi & Dia and the INCREDIBLE line-up we have in store for you all weekend long!

Friday January 6th (Day1) Line-up : Nima Gorji, Mirko Loko, Dj Tsack, Dj Myah & Lee Van Dowski

NIMA GORJI:

Nima Gorji quitte sa ville natale de Téhéran avec sa famille à l'âge de 13 ans et recommence une nouvelle vie avec au Danemark. Une nouvelle vie où il découvre la magie de la musique et la festivité de la scène électronique. Suite à des études approfondies en musique de tous genres, Nima se lance dans la production et grimpe les charts avec son bijou Black Powder. Sillonnant les clubs de renommée mondiale, il s'installe à Ibiza et envoûte les foules du Pacha, Space et Privilege. Il décide de se consacrer à la scène underground d'Ibiza pendant quelques années. Depuis la création de son Label Welt Recordings, il voyage le globe en imposant son style unique et sa musique mystique aux racines Perses. A ne pas louper... ;)

Aunque nació en Teheran (Irán), Nima vive desde hace unos cuantos años en Copenhague. A los quince años comenzó a interesarse por la electrónica y ya lleva diez años como DJ. En 1998 consiguió ser el residente del club Rust, adquiriendo así una cierta popularidad en toda Dinamarca y teniendo la oportunidad de compartir cabina con ilustres invitados como Kerri Chandler, Joe Claussell, Kevin Yost o Dr. Bob Jones. Durante estos ultimos años ha creado su propio sello, Welt Recordings, donde plancha sus producciones, firmadas habitualmente con el seudónimo de Black Powder. Además está detrás del proyecto Manijama, que ha aparecido en el conocido sello británico Defected. Venid bailar como siempre, a lado de Dimi & Dia ;)

After leaving his native Iran at the age of 13 to start anew in Danemark where he started music school, Nima has carved his own way in the music world across continents. Achieving great success in Scandinavia through his own production as Black Powder, and events as Verydisco, he finally settle down in ibiza in 2005. After being regularly playing in clubs like Space (Whats Up?) , Pacha, and Privilege (Monza), he decided to devote himself to the underground scene. Therefore, you can always see him spin the desks at his favorite club: Ibiza Underground. At the 2010 edition of Ibiza DJ Awards, he receive the award of Ibiza resident DJ. Along with a floating collective of DJs and producers he is now part of the creative landscape of the island with his labels Welt Recordings. In the last four years, Nima has been spinning worldwide and his sets are always surprising by mixing old school music with the new productions. As a producer, Nima always sticks to his roots, creating magical hypnotic loops full of deepness, as the sufi's were traditionally doing in the old Persia.

DJ MIRKO LOKO is no stranger to the turntables at Weetamix, he's hypnotised us before with his technique. To those who do not know him yet, what are you waiting for?

DJ Myah, from Canada, who was last at Weetamix for Marc Houle's gig last May 6th, will also be amoung us.

Lee Van Dowski, our very own local star will be making us dance along side Tsack with whom he has released several tracks in the past.
