IST DAS PRESENTS…
It’s not often you get to see a genuine master at work. So to see one let loose in the most intimate of club settings should be considered nothing short of a privilege – a belated Christmas gift, if you will!
Few producers have made as important a contribution to modern electronic music as Matthew Herbert. A glance at his sprawling discography is clear testament to that fact. Throughout a career which was launched under the Wishmountain moniker in ’95, a career which has traversed almost two decades of shifting electronic landscapes, the Englishman has left few musical stones unturned in developing his sound.
From his jazz-tinted deep house collaborations with vocalist Dani Siciliano, through the experimental and provocative Plat Du Jour and critically acclaimed Scale, to 2010’s serene and beautifully crafted One One album, Herbert has established himself as one of electronic music’s most prolific and imaginative creative minds. His productions under various guises, as well as his mixes and remixes, have featured on such seminal labels as Studio !K7, Warp, Peacefrog, Tresor and his own Accidental Records. DJ outings have become a rare treat for Herbert’s fans so we don’t have to stress how special this one is going to be.
