Line-up / Anthony Devz, Storm Clarke, special guests
Taste has been set up by a large group of friends who have been partying together non-stop this year. We noticed that there was hardly anything on the Friday before New Year's Eve and we are the kind of people that cannot - and will not - stay in on a Friday, no matter what the weather or occasion. If you consider yourself to be one of these people then come and join us in our cheap-as chips pre-New Years Eve celebrations. If you like house music this is the night for you - we will feature live PA's by some of west London's finest singers and our DJ selection is exquisite, with a percussionist playing alongside the DJs to add extra rhythms & excitement to the mix.
It's going to be deep, it's going to be dirty
it's going to be techy and minimal and totally uplifting!
We're going to party hard - the 3-day bender starts here...
*STORM CLARKE* has taken his DJ skills around the world - the latest trip being a tour of South Africa through EMI and Gallo Records. This resulted from his deep house track *'Loving You'* attaining *platinum* sales success in South Africa, after its original UK release on a small label called Hyptonic Records. We were introduced to Storm Clarke through *Diesel* of X-Press2 (remember 'Lazy' featuring David Byrne?) who was producing with him. Storm is currently doing major production work for *Prolifica Records* and *Snatch Records* in the UK and Italy, while also taking his deep, techy house and old school acid rave DJ skills all over Europe. He famously performed *a 24-hour tech/deep house set* during the Notting Hill Carnival at Cafe Ravenous...
*ANTHONY DEVZ* has been on the music scene since the age of 14. One of his many claims to fame is being the *youngest DJ ever to play at Fabric*, on the night of their seventh birthday. He was mentored by several big name DJs including the award-winning house *DJ Wigman* and the undisputed king of drum 'n' bass, *DJ Hype*, who was fascinated by his ability to mix D&B with ragga basement. After playing in clubs across Europe he moved on to organising parties in secret locations and exclusive upmarket events, the most recent was in a £115 milion mansion in Cambridge. We have brought him out of his retirement to thrill you with his musical versatility - expect to hear every style of deep and techy house, and be sure he will be throwing down jump-up tunes from many different genres too.
