We've put together a rather special line up for the Bloom Reunion party with 2 rooms of indoor festival fun featuring an array of Bloom favorites and and a few debut acts to keep things fresh. We're also making it a fancy dress party as it went down SO well at the festival, so extra brownie points for those that come dressed up!!
Amongst the throng of beatboxers emerging today, there are few like Beardyman. A tirelessly innovative performer, Beardyman has always pushed the boundaries of what people expect from human beatbox, merging phenomenal beatbox skills with his left-field sense of humour and incredible musicality. After winning the well renowned Lyric Pad Beatbox Battle twice in 2004, he went on to win the title of London champion and UK runner up in the 2005 Championships and the following year became UK Beatbox Champion 2006. He successfully defended his title in June 2007 and is still number 1 in the UK. Those of you who saw him at Bloom will confirm that he kicks arse and were really looking forward t hearing him in a more intimate environment with a kick arse Funktion1 sound system!!
CRAZY P (DJ SET)
Welcome to the weird but beautiful world of Crazy P, a production team, five-piece band and DJ collective. With 3 artist albums and numerous high profile remixes to their credit, the group have been developing their production skills and live act for 6 years, and are now getting serious music industry props. Their DJ sets are eclectic, covering many styles, genres and tempos, providing Intelligent, sophisticated nu-soul music but most importantly a good time. After a killer live set on the Main Stage at the festival, we are really looking forward to partying with these guys again!
TERRY FARLEY (FAITH)
He's just a house freak. A dyed-in-the-wool lover of basslines that could blow the stripes off your sneakers, deep, tribal grooves and good, old fashioned bass-bathing, head-twisting club music. A career that started with the Boys Own parties, setting up the revered Junior Boys Own label, DJing and producing with long time associate Pete Heller, Terry has handed his production midas touch to a variety of acts including Primal Scream, Happy Mondays, New Order, Pet Shop Boys and Funky Green Dogs. Tez has been with us since the first festival and has been a mainstay in the Lost Disco, so it will be top to party with him in London!
Featuring a London born Sri Lancan vocalist and two dudes from Berlin, Jahcoozi fuse distinctly bristish urban music with electro vibes from Germany. Citing everything from the Ramones and the Neptunes to the Wu Tang Clan, Aphex Twin and Missy Elliot as influences, these guys promise on hell of a live show!
Kid Fiesta (Mr Bloom) is a versatile DJ spinning everything from deep chunky house grooves through to upfront hip hop and disco funk classics. He popped up last thing on Saturday in the Funk Bar at the festival and tore the place apart with his special Old Skool House selection. Rumor has it that's he'll be dusting of his classics again for a special hands in the air session.
DJ support will come from the ever reliable Bloom resident AVERAGE WHITE DJ who was seen rocking the last set in the Funk Bar on Friday night, and a debut performance from DJ BOMBER who will be swapping the fencing panels for the ones and twos (he's part of our site crew who helped build the festival site), and live visuals will come courtesy of Channel Zero. We will also be joined by our crazy friends from Red Mutha who will be bringing a whole load of custom made fashion - their shit rocks so remember to bring an extra few quid in case you fancy purchasing some dope new threads!
