Bigfoot’s Tea Party present
(Get The Curse/Items & Things/Kill The DJ – Paris) *Scottish Debut.
It’s not always we have a guest booking and it’s not often that everyone in the Bigfoot camp is united in dropping their meatballs at the revealing of these guests. Clement Meyer, boss of France’s seminal blog/label/party Get The Curse, has caused a meatball shower.
Hailing from Paris, Clement is a rare breed - one that is young and yet has nothing much to prove any more. Get The Curse brings quality music to the young Parisian crowd with their irregular party and celebrated record label. In addition, Clement's DJ skills are something special, Ivan Smagghe considering him as one of the brightest hopes around, already too mature and original to be 'a protege'.
The same can be said about Clement's production work (on Items & Things and Smagghe's Kill The Dj imprint) : it refuses the conformism of the day, favouring a dark electronic funk, championed by many from Lord Weatherall himself to Mathias Aguayo, Ewan Pearson to Roman Flugel, Damian Lazarus to Tobi Neumann. As a resident and regular at seminal clubs Rex Club and Robert Johnson, we are delighted to give Clement his Scottish debut and are looking forward to sharing it with everyone. Expect the usual tireless production work in and around the night too...
