Head to The Rocks for a truly home-grown Australia Day, and enjoy a nine-hour music festival with a line-up so huge you won’t believe it’s free!

As music spills from The Rocks’ historic laneways, harbour promenades and parks, settle in with your family and friends and enjoy a great day of live music, markets, karaoke, kid’s entertainment, laneway performances, surprising roaming acts and chill-out zones.

Presented by Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, Festival of the Voice will be one of the biggest FREE events of the year.

Weave your way around three open-air stages as some of Australia’s finest musicians bring rock, folk, funk, soul, reggae, blues, roots and Indigenous music to life in a unique celebration of the voice.

Melbourne urban-roots outfit Blue King Brown will headline the festival bringing their world-renowned power-packed live show to The Rocks. Don’t miss the unique talent of Indigenous performers Archie Roach and Busby Marou, and the dirty blues tunes of Mojo Juju.

Catch the indie-pop songs of Ernest Ellis, the jazzed-up notes of The Harry James Angus Band (from Cat Empire), the sublime sounds of Emma Louise, the endearing melodies of Hey Big Aki, and the quirky pop of the Rescue Ships.

Kick back to the country sounds of Boy Outside, the kooky tunes of Mikelangelo and the Tin Star with Saint Claire, as well as performances by Steve Smyth, Ngaiire, Mark Wilkinson, Sam Buckingham, Ali Hughes and more.

Dance in the streets to the wheelie bin sound systems (portable mini-discos playing all-Australian music) and rock-out at the karaoke stage. Wander through The Rocks and discover beautiful choirs in the laneways, then put your feet up at the chill-out zone at First Fleet Park.

You’ll find all your favourite stalls at The Rocks Markets in Playfair Street and Jack Mundey Place where you can grab some delicious food and shop for unique arts, crafts and fashion.

The Rocks is also the perfect place to enjoy a bite to eat at the many cafes, restaurants and pubs as well as browse a range of unique shops. It’s easy to get to The Rocks by bus, ferry or train to Circular Quay or Wynyard.

So grab your family and friends and head to The Rocks for a fantastic Australia Day celebration!
