Armin van Buuren. Those magical three words which sum up a cherished trance phenomenon. His unwavering loyalty to melodic and uplifting electronic music has culminated in Armin’s position as the people’s DJ. Hence four consecutive years as the world’s no.1 DJ in DJ Mag’s coveted Top 100, successive ‘Armin Only’ events selling out the world’s largest arenas and incredible DJ sets that have been immortalised by those lucky enough to attend.

But the legendary ‘A State Of Trance’ radio show is through which AvB is most revered. Worshipped by over thirty million listeners, this global broadcast has now acquired biblical status. Last year’s Winter Music Conference saw ASOT bag the award for ‘Best Mix Radio Show’, a fifth time for this prestigious accolade. With the A State Of Trance anniversary always cause for frenzied celebration, last year marked ‘ASOT 500’ and ten memorable years. The landmark Johannesburg gig became a worldwide Twitter trend, such was the mass outpouring of emotion.

So on to A State Of Trance 550… Bigger and better with Thursday 1st March guaranteed to eclipse all that’s gone before. Please welcome the official ASOT 550 launch, at the iconic Ministry Of Sound.

A State Of Trance will be given a new lease of life. That’s custom immersive led visuals, multiple high density rgb lasers, mammoth co2 cannons plus a sound system widely regarded as the best in the world.

All signs lead to this being Armin’s biggest UK show to date, joined by handpicked artists who have played a pivotal role in his A State Of Trance legacy. Further enhancing this auspicious occasion, the love will be spread live worldwide! 1st March sees the elite birthday episode broadcast to fifty countries via fm radio, and to every household with a web connection. Not that you’d want to be at home, for London’s inaugural asot event.
