Nosi Music 6-Year Party with Jonny Cruz photo gallery
NO REQUESTS, NOSI Music, Gil Kuruneri,
We all have a vision of what nightlife could be, and should be. In NYC, you actually have an opportunity manifest that vision. Six years ago I returned home from abroad with a dream to create an event platform for artists, dancers, and music lovers to come together.
Thanks to your love and support over the last 6 years, NOSI Music has been able to continually make positive contributions to our underground nightlife scene. For all that we've done, and will try to do in the next 6 years, it's you that have made it possible.
So, let's join forces once again on the dance floor and in the DJ booth to celebrate love, life, and the pursuit of this music that brings us together, and ensures that we're never apart. Let's celebrate what you've created, after all...you are NOSI.

JONNY CRUZ (MFR, NOSI Music, Coccon–BERLIN)
Born in San Juan, PR in the beginning of the eighties, and always surrounded by art from a tender age, It was quite obvious that his passion would lead him to pursue a career in music or some kind of art form. At 15 years of age he started to get involved with various music acts from his native island of Puerto Rico. Although it was in 1999 when he started attending underground electronic music parties and became totally obsessed with the art form of musical production and mixing. In 2004 he formed an alliance with 2 friends and created a production outfit called Identity.
They released over 20 records together throughout 2004 to 2008. In 2008 Jonny attended a party that forever changed his life while on vacation on the island of Ibiza he had the chance to experience Cocoon at Amnesia pretty much after that he dedicated all of his time to house music. Now 2 years later after several releases under a different alias.
Jonny has come out with his own name seeking to explore new musical boundaries as a solo artist instead of a collective as he has been used to working with in the past. Expect future collaborations under the name Cruz & Lati,Cruz & Meiner amongst others.
CONNIE (Resolute, Air Drop, NOSI Music)
This lady needs no introduction. For it seems that as long as there was a techno scene in NYC, CONNIE has been at the forefront of the of it, behind the decks and in the studio, pushing it forward. Connie has spun her eclectic mix of funky house, tech house, electro, acid, minimal and techno all over the world and alongside the most talented DJs/producers, like Trentemoller, James Holden, Italoboyz, Vincenzo, Michal Ho, Nico Purman, Guy Gerber, Davide Squillace, Alka_rex, Mark Henning, Sweet & Candy, Jeff Bennett, Konrad Black, Terry Mullan, Jesse Rose, Adultnapper, Nick Warren, Misstress Barbara, Patrick Chardronnet, Jay Tripwire, Jason Jinx, Chris Duckenfield (SWAG), Ladytron, Jimmy van M, Camea, and the Hacker. Connie spins regularly at NYC’s top venues like Crobar, Pacha, Sullivan Room, Love & Cielo, but also DJs at more underground but high-profiled events and parties, eg. GIL K (NOSI Music, Sunjam, Legion of Boom)
From the dark, cramped basements of the Lower East Side, to the cavernous loft spaces of Brooklyn, Gil K is well known in the notorious New York underground dance scene for being a bona fide dance-floor destroyer. Whether the vibe calls for deep house, acid, techno, or cutting edge nu disco, he consistently pleases the crowds both at home and abroad.
Seasoned DJ, producer, label owner, and event promoter, Gil K has been a key player in New York’s underground dance community for nearly a decade, whose international appearances include regular trips to the heart of Central America. Since his first pre-dawn DJ set at the Sunjam festival in Honduras back in 2004, year after year his musical sensibility earns him a place on the festival line-up, as well as shows in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama. In 2005, Gil K closed out his year-long tour in Latin America and Europe with shows in Copenhagen and Barcelona.
Upon returning to New York City and having experienced the wide spectrum of dance music culture that stretches from the Atlantic to the Caribbean and from the Americas to Europe and back, Gil K founded the critically acclaimed record label NOSI Music. Since the launch of the label in 2006, NOSI has become a home for young artists the world over – from NYC to Tegucigalpa, and beyond, growing into a community of DJs, artists, dancers, and music lovers who embody the NOSI spirit. It was during his time touring in Latin America that Gil K was first envisioned the NOSI concept that has since become a lifestyle brand.
