ROBERT OWENS (Chicago, IL)
ALI RENAULT
+++ CLASS OF 808 DJs, JOSH CAFFE, JOSHUA FORD, JAMIE WALKER and ALEX WALE
OK so you tried the whole January detox? Miserable eh? Now's time to retox, and what better place to do it than a basement in Dalston with a Chicago legend and his host of cohorts playing the best in Chicago/Jackin'/Acid House trax.
ROBERT OWENS is a man that needs no introduction, and the DSS basement is where Mr Owens comes into his own. It's rare that Robert gets the chance to play in such intimate surroundings and it allows him to dig deep and play the stuff that really gets him jackin' - and our parties often end up with the golden-voiced maestro singing to our lovely crowd. To say it's special is an understatement.
Joining Robert this month is a guest who has had releases on Dissident, Cyber Dance, Human Shield Record Company, Lex, Zone, MNX, SOM and Bunker – and he shines just as brightly behind the decks – welcome ALI RENAULT. Ali will be digging in the crates for some proper Acid and Chicago sounds – we're hyped – it's going to be A M A Z I N G.
CLASS OF 808 DJs will be bringing the heat as always, as will JOSH CAFFE, JOSHUA FORD, JAMIE WALKER and ALEX WALE, playing sounds from Detroit, Chicago, the UK and beyond.
Our previous events have seen the Dalston basement transformed into east London's take on Ron Hardy's Muzic Box, with an untouchable atmosphere and the party people jackin' to the sounds of 80's Chicago house ‘til the small hours. Nowhere else can you dance in a cosy basement club with Robert Owens singing and dancing along with you. End a miserable January with a bang, and a massive smile on your face.
This event will be a warm-up for our first warehouse party of the year with DJ Pierre - Check out the link for more info - http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?321552
Location: Dalston Superstore, 117 Kingsland High St, London E8 2PB
