Content presents: Josh Wink photo gallery
Here at Content, we strive to bring some of the biggest names in dance music to absolutely blow the roof off the intimate surroundings of Joshua Brooks and with our February booking, we believe we ha...ve secured our most globally recognized DJ to date - Josh Wink.
Although being almost a household name, Josh's roots are deep in the underground, having originally cut his teeth on the rave circuit in and around his hometown of Philadelphia as an upcoming 16 year old DJ. Two years later, in 1990 he released his first EP - Tribal Confusion - on the absolutely essential and massively influential Strictly Rhythm, with long time collaborator King Britt as E-Culture.
In 1994, Josh founded Ovum Recordings, a label that is still going strong to this day and over it's 17 year lifespan has released music from such illustrious artists as Boo Williams, Aaron Carl, Rulers Of The Deep, Loco Dice, Levon Vincent, Davide Squillace, Stefan Goldmann, Steve Bug, DJ Sneak, Mutiny, D'Julz, Shlomi Aber, DJ Pierre, previous Content guest - KiNK and of course, Josh himself.
In 1995, Wink had massive cross over success with "Don't Laugh," "Higher State Of Consciousness" and "I'm Ready" (under his Size 9 alias). This success helped to secure Josh's place as one of the biggest electronic music artists in the world and since then he has been a mainstay on the scene, playing at all the best clubs and largest festivals on Earth.
It goes without saying then, that we are absolutely delighted that Josh has agreed to come to our cozy little basement to melt our soles and minds with his trademark mix of anything from acid stompers to chugging techno or smooth deep house groovers. Combining that with the intense atmosphere of the Content rave den means that this is not a night to be missed.
Tickets are limited to 200 and we advise purchasing one to avoid disappointment as this event will sell out.
