DJ Mes is the house worlds OG from Oakland, California and currently the owner of industry-changing label Guesthouse Music, his ear for talent has led to the unveiling of some of the most successful producers in the industry (Gramphonedzie and J Paul Getto, to name a couple).

In the studio and behind the decks, Mes is nothing short of ground-breaking. Mes has had shithot collaborations with DJ Sneak, his own influence DJ Dan and Four:Four favourite Sonny Fodera. Mes’ genre challenging sound earned him countless festival appearances and club residencies. His track “Fools Gold” led Traxsource to honour Mes with the NO 1 spot on the Top 100 House Tracks of 2011. It was only last month that Mes and Guesthouse created house history by releasing their 100th track entitled “3000”, marking the beginnings of another underground house revolution.
Mes himself states “I’m always working to sign new or undiscovered music and talent to the label and maybe even throw a curve ball to startle people with a new, unexpected style or sound. It’s what it’s all about.”

South nightclub is 16 years old, the antidote to the super club, managed by Paul Cons, the promotions manager behind the famous HACIENDA nightclub. A small disco joint, deliberately underground fully kitted with Funktion-1 Speakers, South is the perfect environment to play host to the critically acclaimed DJ Mes.
