DANZSHLAG is back with a very special year planned for 2012: the Mayan year of re-birth, transcendental new beginnings, and this year DANZSHLAG turns 5 years old!

For our first party of the year we revisit our purist roots: this winter edition of DANZSHLAG will be dark, driving, exquisite and minimal.

To kick off our programme of international guests, and provide you with an outer-body experience on the dance-floor, we proudly present DAEGON (LIVE) from Denver (USA), playing a live exclusive as his first official gig in London and the UK. Daegon has had a string of releases on a gamut of labels, such as Machine Box, Divided, Frucht, Der Hut, GooGoo, E-minor, Dark and Sonorous, Cirque du Minimaliste, and EMOTE to name just a few. Hot on the heels of his European tour, which has included gigs at Tresor and Berghain - no less than sites of techno pilgrimage for any serious aficionado - Daegon's dark and slamming sound invokes the unknown and possesses you with an irresistible urge to groove.

Next up we have the promising Cypriot duo MYNUDE. This dynamic outfit will get you seriously orbiting with their infectious sounds, building a cataclysm of deep and twisted tech beats, original thumping grooves and earth shattering low frequencies. With releases on labels such as Frucht Berlin, Mad Hatter Recordings, Starcake Records, Elektek Recordings, Voodoo Records, Xe:tech:no, Re:Beat Records and Elektrify, they're set to be around for some time to come.

pekkuliar and toδo manos from the legendary Orion House Projects will be opening the night with their astral projection inducing hypnotic beats. With just about everything you could imagine in their crates, these guys have a trick or two up their greek sleeves...

Predictions suggest some serious shifting on the dancefloor as DANZSHLAG residents SHIBBY SHITEGEIST and BUNNI SPLANCHNIK serve up a consortium of loony lunar four to the floor pumping quirk, frag beat, and wonky minimal tech beats designed to work your inner and outer cosmos into an irresistible frenzy!

DAEGON

Daegon (AKA Chad Kaska), born may 10, 1987 in Denver, USA, tuned to electronic music in 2000 at the age of 13. He developed a deep interest in all forms of electronic music as it resonated with a part of him from his peculiar childhood, which was littered with unexplainable (and possibly other-worldly) events.

Chad began mixing records in 2006 but felt drawn to produce his own music in the key of minimal. Searching for a specific sound and a way to express himself, in 2008 he became immersed in the production of a sound "that comes from the depths." Within no time at all he had caught the distinguishing ear of renowned producers and discerning fans alike.

He has released on many respected labels such as Machine Box, Smallroom, Googoo Records, Fourth Kind, Divided, Der Hut, Android Musiq, Frucht, E-minor, Cirque du minimaliste, Emote, Dark and Sonorous, played clubs across the globe including the US, Germany, and France with many more tour dates to come. Suspected alien exploitation through various unknown means led Daegon to produce a unique quality throughout his productions.

Speculation on the events that have led to his production methods range from alien matter left behind during probing to a supposed neurological rewiring of sorts. Serious when approaching the controls, he lets loose his repertoire of dark and relentless noise upon the crowd. His performances are a unique experience, weaving sonic narratives and evoking inspiration from the unknown.

MYNUDE

MYNUDE, the Frankenstein like creation of Kemi and Julien, provide deep, dark and twisted tech beats, original thumping grooves and shattering low-freq workout’s which are being hailed as the duo’s signature style. Combining consistency, hard work and excellent skills they have managed to rapidly grow in reputation in a very short period of time. Promoting like crazy monkeys, they also design their own artwork, web design and the whole building blocks of Mynude.

In 2010 alone they managed to secure 18 releases on a number of labels and have been supported along the way by some top grade artists such as Autistic, Paco Osuna, Anderson Noise, Octave, Mark Knight, Nadja Lind, Mathew Jonson, Christian Fischer, Antoni Bios, Andrea Giulianni, Mastiksoul, Dubfire, M.O.D.E., Jim ‘Shaft’ Ryan, Christian Paduraru and the list goes on. Mynude are growing in popularity by the minute and are a force that will be reckoned by numerous artists. With releases on labels such as Frucht Berlin, Mad Hatter Recordings, Starcake Records, Elektek Recordings, Voodoo Records, Xe:tech:no, Re:Beat Records, and Elektrify, they promise to provide club bangers for time to come.

The duo has performed in a number of countries around the world with their live performance consisting of smart-mixing using two laptops with four Traktor decks each and Ableton Live via Midi sync. It is truly an energy packed experience that they want to share with as many as they can from every corner of the planet.
