With a somewhat relentless determination Alexis strives to expose his musical landscape to others. Whether it’s through his residency at Creche where he has helped to broaden the melodic spectrum of what Sundays in East London are about, or through his noticeably distinct and unique music, it’s clear Alexis has the need to push his love and passion forwards.
Having learned the piano from the age of 4, Alexis then submerged himself in underground electronic music. Now in 2011, after his stand out first release ’Spaceship’ dropped on Jamie Jones’ and Lee Foss’ Hot Waves imprint, Alexis is about to make his own mark on the global electronic community.
Following on from Spaceship, Alexis carved out what has been one of this Summer’s anthems. ‘Kitchens and Bedrooms’ injected soul across dance floors worldwide and, with remixes from peers Lee Foss and Richy Ahmed, has undoubtedly been one of the standout debut EPs of 2011.
With the likes of Jamie Jones, Soul Clap, Jozif, Manik, Droog, Robert James, , Solomun, James Teej, Tim Green, Chris Lattner, Julien Chaptal, Xpress 2, Jimpster, System of Survival, Laura Jones, Huxley, Anthony Collins….the list goes on.. all supporting his music it’s clear that Alexis has a deep-rooted understanding of what works both on the dance-floor and as a piece of music in itself.
The coming months will see a couple of high profile remix releases including an official remix of ‘Dark Arts’ by the band ‘Starlings’ packaged side by side with The Revenge’s take on the track and also a remix of a track from the forthcoming Visionquest fabric album.
Then……in early 2012….. his Hot Creations EP drops …….
