Content presents Move D & Deep Space Orchestra photo gallery
For April's Content, we are proud to present the Deep Space double bill, with Europe's finest house DJ and one half of Deep Space Network - Move D playing for an epic 4hrs alongside current masters of the UK production scene - Deep Space Orchestra taking care of the remaining 2hrs.
David Moufang a.k.a Move D grew up in Heidelberg, Germany and like most musicians, he was inspired by his parent's record collection which ranged from Pink Floyd to Kraftwerk. By the age of 12, he was playing drums and a few years later he was learning jazz guitar. During the late 80's he occasionally DJed, playing jazz, funk and electro until 1989 when his friend D-Man introduced him to techno. It was around this time that he was also studying for a diploma in sound engineering and so the love affair with producing his own house and techno music began...
In 1992 he founded his own label – Source Records, a label he ran up until 2005 that was responsible for output by artists such as Lowtec, Thomas Melchior, Baby Ford and of course Move D himself. David's work got him noticed by labels from all over the spectrum and he has released on such diverse imprints as Warp, Compost, Philpot, Running Back, liebe*detail and local heroes Modern Love.
His DJ sets are similarly diverse and quite simply some of the most eclectic journeys through the 4/4 that you are likely to experience and it is for this reason that we have decided to let Move D loose behind the Content 1's and 2's for a full 4hrs, in order for you to really experience what this incredibly talented house master is capable of.
Joining David on the night will be Deep Space Orchestra who in comparison are relative newcomers to the scene but like Move D they exhibit an exquisite taste in house music. Comprising of members Chris Barker and Si Murray who have been DJing and producing together since 2005, the duo have released on a number of heavyweight labels such as Delusions of Grandeur, Quintessentials and of course their own Use Of Weapons. As well as being geniuses in the studio, the pair are equally at home behind a pair of technics and for this reason we have decided to let them have complete control over the rest of the night's musical proceedings...
As ever, with Content events tickets are limited to 200 and as we expect demand for this event to be high, we advise you book your place in advance...
