we've heard fantastic records being played by -chronologically- Tim Sweeney, JG Wilkes, Jacques Renault, Cosmo Vitelli, Hugo Capablanca, Mo Disko, Thang, Padded Cell/Richard Sen, In Flagranti, JD Twitch, Todd Terje and Ivan Smagghe.
so some great d...j's, but to mark the one year occasion, we thought it could be cool to ask a live act for a change!
in that respect we are very pleased to announce a live set by our good friends and dance music visionaries

BLONDES (nyc, live)
Zach Steinman and Sam Haar are the guys behind this wonderful duo dabbling in a sort of psychedelic and a bit trancey breed of technological house music. their first EP was released on Merok (Crystal Castles, Teengirl Fantasy, The Big Pink, Klaxons, Salem, Telepathe, etcetera) which caught the attention of dance music powerhouse RVNG International who promptly released their conceptual 12" series centered around duality: Lover/Hater, Water/Wine and Business/Pleasure. and now there's the first full album being released in february! and they get asked by the world's most prestigious museums (like the MoMA) for collaborations! and a mix for FACT magazine!
it's innovating and it's danceable. it's stimulating and it's enchanting. it's something you shouldn't miss.
JUST NATHAN
whether playing out with his friends from We Play House abroad or in Gent's own Charlatan, Just Nathan always sets a great mood with a mixture of soulful vocal material as well as flexing those heavier dance music muscles. but above all typical promo-talk, he knows to surprise us every time with a great track we absolutely want to have. and that is a rare and great feat, my friends!
HEARTS IN EXILE
from the Avenue L bunch: mister Synaeve himself! Gent is blessed with tons of dj's with great love for, taste in and knowledge of music in the various scenes (from minimal and house to disco and funk) and Tim is just one of those guys whose taste we greatly appreciate. and he's an awesome dude!
