Our collective dream is going to become true this March: Technokunst will host the most unavoidable persona of the last decade’s electronic music: Ben Klock!
Klock is usually described as a phenomenon - as a musical or natural force, who, during his yet relatively short career, came, saw and turned the whole dinner table of techno music upside down together with the family silverware. His career started by the opening of the legendary Berghain/Panorama Bar of Berlin, where he started as a resident behind the decks. Following this, in no time he became not only the face and sound of the club with his stellar mixing technique and producer works, but the pioneer of the new generation of German techno, too.
On the contrary to his young age, his significance is absolutely undeniable: he lead the stiff and conservative scene onto a new path, followed by countless admirers helping to start the reblooming of the genre of techno, opening it’s gates to a brand new audience.
This is, of course, no miracle. Klock’s monstrous sets are even considered big inside the walls of Berghain, because of their incredible energy and ease what makes his music - spiced up with hyperintensive and brutal beats or mischievous house tracks - so free, positive and extatic for both the underground shoegazers and the ones not yet touched by the power techno.
Ben Klock - with his friend and colleague, Marcel Dettmann - is one of Europe’s most exciting and sought-after DJ of the moment. In March, he’ll show you, why. Don’t miss it!
