Now it's time to celebrate our 1st birthday and you're all invited.

In order to provide you with an adequate birthday we've enlisted the help of someone we have respected and admired for quite some time. We are very lucky indeed to have Cocoon favourite Christian Burkhardt along for the ride!

CHRISTIAN BURKHARDT

Christian Burkhardt is an artist truly absorbed with the range of sonic possibilities. A producer not content with existing within the realms of House and Techno, but one that is determined to further stretch its limits with his signature sound. A native of Heidelberg, Germany, who along with the likes of Reboot, Johnny D, Markus Fix, Ray Okpara - all from the country‘s Southwest quarter - have carved out a niche‘ revolution within House and Techno that has influenced the global electronic music commu- nity nearly as much as Detroit, Chicago, London and Berlin have in there respective years of glory.

His earliest productions found there way onto Oslo, Raum...Musik, Deep Vibes and Area Remote. All regarded as contemporary go-to labels for quality House music. In 1998, ‚Doubledub‘ surged through the speakers of main floor events and fueled after hours across Europe and beyond. Since then it‘s been clear that Burkhardt approaches music making with a strong detail to complex rhythms that not only move your body, but rise above generic club music. His masterful use of technology meshed with the warm sounds of analog gear and over 13 years of music production experi- ence, have tinged his production with a unique sound that other produ- cers praise and DJ‘s never seem to stop playing.

Solely on the basis of his productions, he has been invited to present the sounds of his Offenbach studio in the form of a live set, on nearly every continent. Live sets which are by no means a playlist of Burkhardt hits. This melody and groove ob- sessed sound pioneer tweaks, layers and twists his sounds differently for every event. Inspiring even himself with every performance, increasing the passion of his own purpose. 2010 brought Burkhardt to a new level with his first album project, Revolver, co-produced with Einzelkind on their new Jax label. You certainly know some of their past collaborations as the infamous La Peña. His long list of remixes for Tsuba Records, Mobilee and Deep Vibes were still ringing in club lands ears, as a new batch of original material on Oslo, Raum...Musik and Cocoon were given the stamp of approval 2011, with constant rotation in clubs, radio and podcasts. His success is measured only in the pleasure that he finds in making music.

A feeling that may start in the club, but it never seems ends there.

RAFFA FL

Raffa FL, is a young but reputable and talented DJ and producer born in Verona,Italy . Music has been around him since he was a child due to his father being a musician and singer. Growing up Raffa learned to perform music, and with his interest for house and techno he got a pair of turntables. All the people around him saw his develop behind the decks and so he started to play in my famous clubs all around the North East of Italy.

In 2010 Raffa started releasing tracks for many different record labels and In 2011 he had many EPs receiving good feedback from some of the best DJ's around on the house music scene.

Since june 2011 Raffa has also run his own label "TOOLS & STUFF" with his friend Dirty Culture.

Soon Raffa will release an EP on one of the best upcoming Nu disco/house labels of the moment (Electronique Digital,Manchester UK), with some banging tracks that are already having support from artists like Julien sandre (Hot Creations,Tsuba), Corey Baker (Hot Creations), Louie Fresco (MEXA Record), Climbers (MEXA Mexico).

Raffa has also done a remix for Nervous Records Sublabel "Nurvous" of a classic Kim English track "Nitelife."?

2011 is set to be for an important year for Raffa's career, due to many new collaborations going on, the early contract firmed for Underground Management, the upcoming WMC 2012 gigs he will be hosting and not last and for all the good feedback received from important artists in the European music scene.

JACK BARTON

Hailing from Manchester, Jack Barton has been a part of the influential electronic music scene which thrives within the city for over half a decade. His love of the art has seen him to progress from a dedicated clubber and all round music fanatic, to an up and coming producer as well as an established DJ for one of the UK's most prominent underground club names, Micron.

Jack has been making a name for himself on the DJ circuit since he smashed onto it back in October 2008. With a solid commitment to mastering the art by playing on a daily basis in his bedroom up to 12 hours a day, he became a solid DJ and his mixes have caught the attention of some of today’s most established and successful promoters along with a host of big names.

As a self-confessed techno and house addict, he has become a connoisseur of the music. Not one to restrain himself to one sound however, he is always on the lookout for new and imaginative ways of getting people dancing.
His talents are being recognised far and wide and his deep, warm, party-inducing sets have moved dancefloors across the UK from Back to Basics in Leeds and mUmU in Liverpool, along with frequent airings on numerous International Radio Stations around the globe.

It was in 2009 when he was given the opportunity to become a resident for one of the U.K's most exciting club nights, Micron (Nominated DJ Mag Awards Best Small Club UK). As a long-time fan since it first opened its doors 3 years earlier, Jack sculpted his style and began to represent a brand which was gaining increasing notoriety across the UK due to its high quality policies on music, guests and residents.

As a producer Jack has been hard at work with the same focused attitude. After 2 years of experimenting and being his own biggest critic, his style has evolved into a restrained and stylish soundscape which spans everything from dub techno to deep house.
