Like always some background info on these two great Romanian DJ's:

PETRE INSPIRESCU aka PEDRO
[a:rpia:r] - Yojik ConCon

In his home town of Bucharest, Romania, Pedro aka Petre Inspirescu has long been a pivotal figure alongside his frequent accomplices Raresh and Rhadoo. He started djing in 1999 in a small club called Web Club. Four year ago he became resident at Circoloco, Dc10 Ibiza and since then, his way of feeling and understanding electronic music changed completely. In the last three years, his appearances throughout the whole world have brought his name to many listeners' lips, heightening interest in the fertile Romanian scene-an unexpected outpost of advanced electronic music.

From the very beginning Pedro has been strongly affected by deep house tunes and the multitude variety of grooves - not only in electronic music. His DJ sets are as sonically baffling as they are irresistibly groovy; as a producer his tracks are as unhinged as they are methodical.

He set high standards with the track „Le Bou“ that was released on his own label Arpair which he founded with his friends Rhadoo & Raresh in 2007. The following productions of Petre Inspirescu (his name as a producer) prove that this success wasn’t only a singular case. Thus it’s only fair that Luciano’s Cadenza, one of the most respected labels in the electronic music scene, approached Pedro and signed him right away

Before, Pedro had gained a good reputation as a DJ, for example as resident at Circo Loco Ibiza @ DC10, where he convinced an international audience week after week. By now he is a globally booked and sought-after artist when it comes to electronic dance music. He even has a group of sympathisers (Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Loco Dice, Tania Vulcano and many more) that sounds like the "who's who" of the international electronic music scene. And there is no end in sight: the new studio in Bukarest has been set up long ago, gigs all around the world increase rapidly and everything is going very well. We are looking forward to his output in the near future.

He also recent started his own label, Yojik ConCon is an avant-garde label conceived by Petre Inspirescu, who has been one of the key figures in Romanian electronic music scene but proves himself limitless and continues to expand his ambitions. Inspired by nature, poetics and deep sound, Inspirescu intends to return classical into the world of contemporary arts. He finds a balance between history and avant-garde and creates the project p ensemble, which gets established by the first trilogy of 3 releases ( Padurea de Arama, Argint, Aur) demonstrating an evolutionary musical process, metaphorically happening in a forest.
Collaborating with other forms of art such as visual language in photography, choreography, cinematography and animation, Inspirescu desires to project his artistic vision by integrating aesthetic mediums into classical and modern creative culture.

CRISTI CONS
[a:rpia:r] - Amphia

Born in a family of musicians, Cristi Cons didn't turn tipper and went around from the cello he's been playing since forever, to the electronic music field he's been activating in, for the last 4 years. With a chockfull musical theory background and a delicate ear, Cristi found his influences in jazz, dub, experimental and classical music, landing to production after only 2 years, alongside his livelong mate, Vlad Caia, building the SIT project.

His electronic influences were outlined by Rhadoo, Nutatia, one of his first productions, being included on the [a:rpia:r] 05 - Jurnal de bord. Following, the Case Sensitive alias got him a Danny Tenaglia, Luciano, Dario Zenker and Steve Bug appreciated release - Cappascap EP, at All Inn Black.

At the moment, Cristi's attention is concentrated on the SIT project, which he formed next to Vlad Caia, in the summer of 2009, SW8 being the place you will spot them for the first time performing in this crew, after scoring the Year 3000 release, at Kanzyani's sough-after Jesus Loved You.

His during the years musical influences brought his sets into a dynamic, readable and harmonious direction; where they are still kept, undoubtedly.

C u soon!
