Promoter / the weather reporters
Making its return appearance on Saturday 13th March will be The Weather Report, Sydney's fine purveyors of poor quality humour and quality breaks and beats. This party will mark the return of the varied breakbeat formula which made the night famous as a weekly thursday three months ago. Expect a night of breakbeat spanning many influences, from funk, to progressive, tech, and electro.
Making his first appearance at The Weather Report will be Bass Kleph, recently signed to Floating Point Recordings. At just 22, he is a rising star among the Australian breaks scene, having tracks licensed to the Fuzzy Breaks compilation among other things. His first 12 inch release, “Like Abort Juan” has received airplay and universal praise around the world. He currently has a remix of Nick Thayer’s “Theme One” due for release on Breaking Point.
Joining Bass Kleph will be Sydney regulars Ajax and Frenzie, along with The Weather Report's former resident Q45. Also new is Jay Walker, who will be aiding The Weather Report in the skills of the wax, the art of promotion, and perhaps finding us a sense of humour for once. Lish is also playing, because the promoter always gets to play (isn't that right?!)
