Funkagenda launched his label residency at Ministry of Sound in 2011 which saw some of the biggest artists play alongside him in the mainroom and is the reasoning behind Basement Jaxx’s starting their own nights down the club as they loved the night so much. For the 17th March, there is no change in the stance of musical direction with resident Michael Woods, Chris Lake and Kim Fai all lined up to play in the Box.
With such a versatile collection of productions and remixes, Funkagenda’s sets are never the same which is proven by the crowd’s reaction each time at the club. With 3 of dance music’s most iconic names in the Box, Funk Farm provides the best music circulating the scene. Michael Woods quite literally shocked everyone last year with just how fast he shot to success. Heavily supported by Ministry of Sound since 2010 when he became a resident, he is now a globally recognised dj & producer who tours worldwide and has even been nominated for a Brit award after Examples ‘Changed the way you kissed me’ which Michael produced was put up for one of the prestigious awards. Chris Lake and Kim Fai are two favourites of the label and the club, the pair who have played New Year’s Eve plus various other residencies over the years are warmly welcomed back for the first Funk Farm of the year.
In the 103 Anil Chawla returns alongside Jordy Dazz a.k.a Jordy Lishious who has made a name for himself after working with Avicii. With a special appearance from Blackhill who is our one to watch this year and DJ Hal it really will be a night never to be forgot.
