It’s 1971. Marc Bolan renames his band T-Rex, splashes himself with glitter and worries a nation of prudes with his choice in leggings. David Bowie re-imagines himself as an alien being and discovers the makeup section in Boots. Glam Rock is born.
So marks the setting for Glitterball X – the big one zero, the dancefloor digital decalogue. Smoke, pyrotechnics and spandex come together in a musical mixup enough to make any audio androgyne proud. Pop on your best Ziggy Smalls outfit, get your Roxys off and let’s get Slade.
Glitterball resident DJs Simon Busby and Marcus Blunt will be playing the usual hotbed of badass disco, homespun house, psychedelic rock, moonshine dub and other bits of demented party music.
Glitterball is an ode to house partying written by us, addressed to you and sung by Diana Ross.
