We would firstly like to say a huge thank you to all our guests and everyone that made our birthday such a special celebration. We have decided to make our return to HQ at The Beaver Works for one more party before we go our separate ways for the Easter holidays. We are very excited to welcome the ever-consistent deep-house maestro Vincenzo from Berlin, and Finland’s finest musical export Roberto Rodriguez over from Helsinki, both of whom will be making their Leeds debuts.

Christian Kruse, aka Vincenzo, developed his love of music on a diet of hip-hop during its heyday in the 80’s. The energy that he felt through house drew him to dance music and he quickly became part of the Hamburg scene. Steve Bug was one of the first to notice his talent behind the decks and soon, under his guidance, he moved into the studio, releasing his first single on Steve Bug’s Raw Elements label in 1995. His record since then is impressive, with releases on many of Europe’s top labels including !K7, Dessous, Liebe*Detail and Pokerflat. His critically acclaimed 2011 album ‘Wherever I Lay My Head’ showcased a range of structured and crafted tracks that are as captivating at home as they are on the dancefloor. His reputation as a DJ hasn’t stopped growing and we look forward to welcoming him for his Leeds debut.
Roberto Rodriguez has played a part in shaping the house and techno scenes in Scandinavia for quite some time, but it is only in recent years that he has started to gain the respect he deserves throughout the rest of the world. Roberto is something of a veteran in the scene, having started producing in 1987, taking his influences from the Detroit scene as well as from Ibiza’s Summer of Love. He has seen releases on respected labels such as Delusions of Grandeur and Sonar Kollektiv and his alias, Manolo, has acquired a reputation all of its own for nostalgic disco-tinged beats. Last years ‘I Got’ release on Leeds label Fina and Manolo’s ‘Night Rhythm’ showed him to be a man at the top of his game across the musical spectrum. Expect a set as varied, skillful and energetic as his productions. We are very excited to welcome him on his first trip to Leeds.
