- William Sellari (Engines Roar / Virginia)Once again AMODA is kicking off SXSW with one of its legendary Digital Showcases. This event will feature a musical Laptop Battle, live video projections, stellar performances from local electronic musicians and DJs, a wide range of interactive installations, and stunning animation pieces from around the world.
The Laptop Battle will include eight contenders using killer beats to duke it out in a tournament style event. Each performance must be 3 minutes or less and the only equipment permitted is a laptop and one external controller. Judged by a panel of music and art experts, the outcome of each match is decided based on a combination of emotional impact, originality, stage performance, live manipulation, and crowd response.
