Nobody's music hits harder than this Chicago legend's. With energy to spare and a personality to match, DJ Psycho-Bitch grabs your attention and never lets up.
Psycho-Bitch's career is one that spans over two decades, and it's also one that has established her as a pioneering force in underground music. From the smooth, textured quality of her opening sets to the slam-bang-boom of her peak hours, Psycho's musical arrangements are both stunning and flawless in their execution. 70-percent of her sets are dedicated to new music, and her rhythmic assault takes no prisoners. It doesn't come without effort, though. Psycho has pounded the pavement since day one—promoting events, researching musical styles and techniques, and keeping her senses tuned to the street. The results speak for themselves: she's spun at nearly every venue in the Midwest, and has hundreds of guest-spots, both nationally and internationally, under her belt. DJ Psycho-Bitch has won numerous awards, polls and contests, including "Best DJ," by Chicago Magazine, The Chicago Tribune, and City Search, just to name a few.
Shaka23 grew up on the Southside of Chicago during the onset of the underground house music movement. Her fascination with house music began at the young age of 7 when her brother brought home Technics turntables and began to DJ. She regularly listened to WBMX's infamous radio show with the legendary Djs of the Hot Mix 5 and went to see house DJ's and performers at "Dancing Wheels" roller rink. Her inner city cultural landscape also exposed her to the art of break dancing, graffiti, turntablism, and the rave scene. The combination of these impressions motivated her to pursue DJing with relentless dedication. Throughout her career, she developed her own unique sound and skills, taking inspiration from a range of the the most prolific innovators and DJs of electronic music. She's DJ'ed amongst some of today's biggest legends including, but not limited to, Frankie Knuckles, Mr. Fingers, Green Velvet, Felix da Housecat, Claude Von Stroke, and Stretch Armstrong. Undoubtedly, over her 10 years spinning, she has become well versed in many forms of music, from house to disco, and minimal to electro. With an ear for cutting edge music combined with her knowledge of house history, Shaka23 continues to push boundaries and experiment with both her DJ and production styles. Each of her sets are fresh, with spot on mixing, spontaneous track selection and intuitive programming. Shaka23 relocated to New York City in 2007, where she continues to passionately explore and promote the history, life, and growth of underground music. She is currently focused on touring, remix work, and a new production project with house legend, Jamie Principle.

In 2010, Frique's production career commenced with a remix for Chicago heavyweight Gene Farris. In 2011, remixes were done for Liberate Music NYC and D'Lectable Music's head Lady D, amongst other fine works.
