Embracing every detail of production value, the chic interior of Oval Space encompasses the small yet imperative details that propel a venue experience to the next level. From the fresh fruit and veg juice bar and top notch coffee selection through to the full scale lighting and sound rigs. Boasting triple height and acoustically treated ceilings, the 800 square metre venue remains an as of yet, unknown and intriguing expanse...
Set up in 2006 by Alex Niggeman and Superlounge, Soulfooled’s concept is in their words, to “welcome music enthusiasts, artists, dancers and performers to their own distinctive brand of house musicâ€. Bringing that precise distinction to London for a night of chunky beat structures, groove ridden house and liquid smooth ambience; Soulfooled’s Superlounge meet Berlin’s Watergate residents Fritz Zander and Marco Resmann for an exhilarating exploration through sound.
A duo who delve unashamedly to the depths of production excellence, unique sound sculpture and the all encompassing jack of the dance floor, Alex Bach & Oliver Fritsche aka Superlounge have not only produced some of the most intriguing soundscapes on Soulfooled as of late, but the pair enjoy global success and recognition as dj’s playing their intoxicating mash up of deep house through to wonky late night techno around the globe.
Joining Superlounge is none other than Fritz Zander. The Bpitch Control and Suol imprint staple is a rare and demurely charmed artist. Intricate and thoughtful through his productions yet equally relentless and upbeat in his technique and selections, Fritz Zander has worked the floor at Berlin’s Watergate as resident for years; thus building a reputable name for himself within the electronic music sphere. Fellow Watergate resident Marco Desmann completes the ‘Behind The Hay Bales’ line up, falling hand in hand with Fritz and Superlounge’s style. Having released his own cutting solo productions on Watergate Records, Mobilee and Upon. You, collaborated with the likes of Anja Schenieder, Kiki, Mike Shannon and Daniel Dreier; Marco Resmann is not only a part of Watergate’s well honed furniture but one half of the hugely successful Luna City Express alongside Norman Weber and once made up a third of none other than Pan-Pot...Enough said maybe?
The first of many thought through and heartfelt line-up’s to come, we invite you to take part in edition number one of something beautiful...we’ll meet you behind the hay bales..
