Danny the Wildchild aka Daniel Garcia was born on the South side of Chicago in 1977. The brother of a once aspiring DJ, he keenly watched and quickly learned the tricks of the trade. Danny began djing at age nine soon surpassing his brother’s abilities and eventually inherited his equipment and records. At twelve, Danny entered a Chicago area contest for young DJ’s and won. He took home that fifty-dollar prize and was called “The Wildchild” from that day forward.

Although Danny’s roots were as a Hip-Hop DJ, he was eventually introduced into the Chicago Rave scene and to the world of drum-n-bass. He enjoyed this new form of music, but also loved hip-hop and began to creatively blend the two genres creating a unique sound of his own. As Danny’s turntable talents grew, he began to incorporate scratching and DMC style battle tricks into his Drum-n-Bass sets. His precise mixing skills and unique style and sound gave him the opportunity to bring Drum-n-Bass into the DMC and Hip-Hop scenes.

Danny’s recognition has earned him a collection of praises from domestic and international magazines such as Mixer, Thousand Words, Faqt, and Lotus to name just a few. Danny was also featured as one of the people making waves in the scene in Urb’s Next 100 Artists to Watch Issue. When he’s not on the road mixing it up at clubs and festivals across the U.S., he can be found teaching a scratch course at the Old School in Chicago.

Not only is Mark Subsonik dominating the ‘Trance ‘n’ Bass’ sound that John B has made so popular, but he also enjoys wearing shorts, has over 1000 friends on Myspace and once came third in a national lemon eating contest (alright… we made that last ‘fact’ up). Subsonik fell in love with Drum & Bass in 1996 but has in fact been involved with music for much longer, having played the drums for over 20 years! He began DJing and in 1997 played his first event alongside Wally ‘Pish Posh’. It took seven more years for Mark to get bitten by the production bug, but once he had there was no looking back. Legion is a new outfit consisting of Advance and Hunter. Advance has had a long career in Drum and Bass with multiple releases for Renegade Hardware as part of Quadrant. In 2008 Advance stepped out on his own with a release for Dieselboy's Human Imprint, which was also featured on Dieselboy's most recent mixed CD, "Substance D," and also completed a collaboration track with AK1200 and NC-17 for Trace's DSCI4 Recordings. Hunter has been in the dance music scene for well over 10 years as a DJ, promoter, and professional sound engineer. He has worked in the studio with Impulse of Sinthetix/Corrupt Souls and Dylan from the Upbeats on unrelated material. Through a random chance meeting in early 2009 Advance met up with Hunter and the duo hit it off immediately forming the group, Legion, and their own label, Sine Language Imprint. In December of 2009 Legion debuted their first release on Sine Language Imprint, Signal of Design EP, which received massive DJ support from Ed Rush and Optical, Dom and Roland, Upbeats, Gridlok, Cause 4 Concern, John B, Skynet, and heavy play on The Risky's Drum&Bass Arena Podcasts. Forthcoming releases by Legion include the rigmashing track with GENR8 titled, Devils With Aces, on Bad Chemistry Recordings, a moving liquid roller for Grid Recordings featuring the Grammy-nominated artist Patrick O'Hearn (Missing Persons/Frank Zappa) titled, Both Sides, and Sine Language Imprint's second release featuring a collaboration track with Stu C4C. EMPIRE X Was born in Sarasota FL. where he was raised into a family of musicians and music producers by a Mother well known for her talents as a singer. Derrick began making music at an early age where he gathered pencils and cans and beat away to make the rhythmic sounds of drums. At the age of 15 he was putting on live shows for young audiences rapping and rhyming lyrics at venues with a group of teenage performers called The Last Boyscouts. This was just the beginning of X many musical talents. Since the day he was old enough to realize the "art" of music, X knew he had something in him musically that he was not going to let be unheard or unknown. He was introduced into the Breakbeat scene originally where he found himself Break dancing to a beat that he loved. He met a local DJ in 1993, Chad Allen that caught his interest. X found himself very intreagued with the ability a DJ had to capture the mind, body and soul of every person in the club by spinning vinyl and performing talents that he never knew existed in a DJ. He started his quest practicing at his cousins? loft on two turntables spinning Hip-Hop. Day and night he was working at building something for himself, a name as a DJ. Soon after starting with Hip-Hop he realized it wasn’t the genre he wanted to focus on. His main focus became Breakbeat.(Thanks to mike & Charlie M.A.C.) In 1994 he started spinning out at clubs and parties turning out Breakbeat records like he never thought he could. After a few years of spinning Breakbeat though he began to get tired of all the drug abuse associated mainly in the Breakbeat scene. X met Ron "DJ Bakini" who played Drum and Bass and that is how he began his search into the Drum and Bass World. He always loved the feel of Drum and Bass music and the people associated with it. X was asked to play at a Stateside Collective show with Sage and Marco back in January of 2000. That was all it took for him to turn over all his Breakbeat records and start a new collection of Drum and Bass music! Since his life of Drum and Bass began EMPIRE X has become a member of many major organizations and recording labels Such as Freak/Obscene UK, Technorganic Recordings Fl., Future Sickness Rec. UK, Mind Saw Rec. NY, Foul Play Rec. Fl, , Force Rec. Fl. And Order in kaos Rec. Uk. X began making his own DNB productions early in 2001 at a local studio in Sarasota where he produced his first remixed track. His first released track was with Hot Wax Recordings of Tampa, FL in 2003. Throughout his musical DNB career X has played with many big names such as Dylan, Robyn kaos, Gein, Mumblz, Evol intent, Empress, Panacea, Craze, Dieselboy, AK1200, Sage, Marco, and many more. If anyone deserves respect in the Drum and Bass scene for what they have done and accomplished it is Empire X. He has been through the good and bad, the ups and downs and has surely paid his dues. It has definitely been a struggle through the years to get to where he is at right now but he would not have made it without all the hard work and effort that he puts into the love of the music

MACHETE ignited his musical journey back in 1992 as DJ Rob G, spinning Hip-Hop at Hollywood afterhours events such as No-Doz, What?, and Caffiend. The Los Angeles underground rave culture was in it's infancy and Rob was inspired by the techno-breakbeat music emerging out of England via vinyl records played by DJs Raw, Curious, and Oscar da Grouch. These frantic bass-heavy beats that evolved from old-school breaks layered with HipHop and Reggae samples were intriguing and propelled him in a new direction. Rob, encouraged by his peers, changed his professional name to Machete in 1994... a title meant to evoke the nature of his mixing and cutting skills in relation to this new Jungle music.

As DJ Machete, Rob helped put Junglist Platoon on the map with gigs at nearly every Jungle party in the Greater Los Angeles area. A brief residency with Los Angeles mega-promoter Insomniac, plus a noted mention in URB Magazine's NEXT 100 Issue (1998) garnered much attention. Rob was then featured on various dates of the infamous KungFu-Knowledge Tour of 1999, placing Machete alongside many of the world's best including DJ Craze, Mampi Swift, and the legendary Rob Playford.

Machete is well-traveled and has showcased his skills in Costa Rica, Hawaii, Vancouver BC, and in numerous cities and states across the continental US including New York, Philadelphia, Virginia, Massachusetts, Washington DC, Miami, Chicago, Atlanta, Texas, Minnesota, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and many more. Machete also made history as one of the very first Jungle/Drum and Bass DJs flown to perform in Anchorage, Alaska.

In March of 1999 the Junglist Platoon began hosting a weekly event called RESPECT with Machete in charge of talent bookings, promotions, as well as being a resident DJ. In March of 2000, Machete organized a RESPECT one-off at the Winter Music Conference in Miami which successfully placed the RESPECT brand at the forefront of Los Angeles Drum and Bass. After 11+ years, RESPECT is the longest running Jungle/Drum and Bass weekly in Los Angeles in addition to being one of the most successful clubs in the United States. RESPECT is globally known for bringing the best international and stateside talent and continues to do so after settling into it's fifth and most current venue, The Dragonfly in Hollywood.

In 2012 Machete is busier than ever, occasionally opening for mainstream Hip-Hop acts at House of Blues - Sunset Strip combined with DJ residencies at RESPECT, spinning DnB and Dubstep at one-off events, pushing his promotions company Machete-Media, hosting a weekly RESPECT DnB RADIO program, and engaging production projects proving his versatility as an artist. DJ Machete's longevity speaks for his talents, dedication, and determination which has surely solidified his place as a force in the world music scene.

Rene Reyes aka GENR8 is a man of many guises. He has been an integral part in several production power houses throughout the years and today continues to push the boundaries of electronic music production. Rene started out djing in Miami for several years before taking aim at producing, and has been passionate about primarily drum & bass production since. Back in 2004, Rene started production duo Alliance alongside pop music producer The Illfactor. The same year, they won a remix competition put together by Intercom Records for which they released their first single "Jive". Alliance went on to release several dance floor smashers on labels such as Incite, Nemesis and Cymbalism.

As Rene pursued his passion for the music, he also managed to swiftly incorporate his skills in the professional sound engineering world. With a touch of luck and plenty of determination, he landed a full-time engineering gig doing audio post for a busy studio in Miami parallel to his underground movement. Eventually he decided to get out of the hectic world of mainstream audio production, and took up an opportunity to teach what he loved most to hungry minds at the prestigious Fullsail University in Orlando, FL. In 2008, he made the big move cross country to Los Angeles for an opportunity to teach at the Los Angeles Recording School where he currently runs the school's electronic production clinics along with instructing in various audio engineering courses. The past two years have found GENR8 in a state of constant transition and internal growth as he has decided to focus on developing his solo sound. In '08, he linked up with Gridlok and landed a tune on his Project 51 imprint on a compilation with US dnb godfather AK1200 titled “Autopsy” which was nominated for a Grammy award later that year. In '09, he was approached by AK to remix legendary underground rock band Prong’s "Pure Ether" for a compilation titled “Power of the Damned mixxxer” released later that year.

In 10' GENR8's releases Included a track for Skynet’s Nvision imprint released on 12" as well as two tunes for a digital compilation titled “Edge of Expansion”. Also two tunes on AK1200’s Big Riddims VIP,A neuro scorcher remix of N.Y.’s Empress’ Aliennation to debut her Empower Label. On the pipeline in 11', several colabs with philly's Koldfront trio (a.k.a Jae Kennedy, Karl K, and Kaos) to be released on their upcoming Koldfront label as well as a mean dubstep remix of their “Soul On Fire” classic, also colabs with Psidream, Legion, Rawtee as well as more remix work for a few breakthrough pop artists.
Genr8 sites making music and djing as his main mediums of artistic release, and a craft he has honed over years in the studio and djing for fans across coasts. He sites a broad range of influences including orchestral (drum corp), hip hop, funk, freestyle Miami bass, heavy metal, alternative rock, fusion & acid jazz, new age, techno, hardcore, and house. Currently focusing on his solo career, Genr8 is excited for future projects and continues to work with drum & bass, dubstep, and house, to reach bold new musical scapes while keeping the bass bins bumpen. And Ammunition lead to the sub-label, Caliber Music. Both Ammo & Caliber are currently doing great, with a killer release schedule, big talent on board, constantly showing up in best sellers charts & features, and receiving huge support from some of the biggest Drum'n'Bass Dj's & Producers in the world.

His name is synonymous with Chicago drum n bass and one of Americas largest drum n bass music groups the M.I.A. (murda In america) with over 50+ members all over the country. Since the early 90's Alfonz has been djing and promoting jungle/drum n bass music. He has played along side the worlds best drum n bass djs including Andy C, Ed Rush & Optical, Black Sun Empire, Concord Dawn, DJ Swamp, Aphrodite, Bad Company, Krs One, Evol Intent, Gein, Ewun. He has headlined all over the country and has played marquee nights such as Respect in Los Angeles and the original Konkrete Jungle at the pyramid in New York City. In Chicago you can find him once a month at subfix Thursdays at Smartbarchicago.com where he hosts his monthly M.I.A. drum n bass event featuring Chicago's brightest drum n bass artist on a truly sick Funktion one sound rig. M1D1 - M.I.A. COMBAT RECORDS - CHICAGO

M1D1 first started djing in 1993 and has performed at countless underground parties and full scale raves in Chicago's late 90's rave scene. Working with jungle vet R.P. Smack/RipeProductions, M1D1 continued to bring his music into the new millennium and by 1999 he had started writing his own tunes. In 2004 he started his own DNB label, Combat Records, and with over 40+ releases to date Combat Records is home many M1D1 releases and also to many great dnb artists worldwide. In 2006, alongside Alfonz DeLaMota, M1D1 co-founded the M.I.A. Dj Collective, a nationwide drum and bass dj collective. With residences all over the US, the M.I.A. is proving to be a strong force in the stateside DNB movement today. Be it djing out of town, here in Chicago at Smartbar, or running the system at the rave, for M1D1 DNB is a way of life, and he will stop at nothing to see the M.I.A. and drum and bass reach its highest potential.

DJ X - M.I.A, COMBAT RECORDS - CHICAGO

Born in Hawaii and raised on the streets of Chi Town, DJX, AKA Cameron Stansberry, started his musical journey when he was 11, when he was given a drum kit by his parents. It was at this moment that Cameron knew he wanted to be part of something bigger.
He first became interested in the electronic music scene in 1987. In 1988, aged 14, he bought his first set of turntables. At the age of 17, he was bouncing around the Chi Town scene as a freestyle/house dj. In the late 90’s he heard his first DnB track and was hooked immediately. He performed various warm up sets at house parties all over before the doors opened in clubs in Chicago, Milwaukee and South Florida, opening for major names such as Dieselboy, Goldie, Dara, Gein, Arsenic, Limewax and many more. In 2006 he joined forces with M.I.A. Chicago, at that time a small group of like minded dj’s trying to bring DnB to Chicago, and It was after this point when he started booking gigs at large events such as WMC and DEMF.

DJX is a fighter and since 2006 has been locked in the studio perfecting his craft.

Suffice to say, the Drum and Bass scene should be expecting big things from DJX in 2012.

Squake is a San Diego native, and has been a Nightclub DJ since 2003. Squake was introduced to Drum & Bass while attending some of the legendary Respect nights and massives while living in Southern Cal. His love for early Drum & Bass eventually brought him to the decks. While honing his skills living in CA, Squake emerged on to the scene soon after moving to Nashville, TN in 2005. Squake immediately landed residencies at The Red Iguana, Spy Bar, Lot 7, and Club Mai, while also rinsing out countless local parties.

In 2008, Squake joined forces with Hunter of Legion and started Represent Drum & Bass Nashville. April 09, they launched the very first Represent Night at Club Mai, and the Represent weekly began. Represent has hosted many of some of the scene's heavy hitters such as; Ed Rush & Optical, A-Sides, Shiftee, Dara, Klute, Teebee, Dieselboy, AK1200, Twisted Individual, C4C just to name a few.

July 09, Squake launched his weekly show Represent Radio on Bassdrive, which he hosts every Friday from 5-7PM CST. While handling the high demands of live radio, Squake keeps his show fresh, showcasing the newest released/unreleased tracks covering all styles of D&B.

He is founder of the Dub Recon crew, one of South Florida's major crews. Through his work, hes given alot of DJs thier start and helped to expand the scene. Also co head of Konkrete Jungle South Florida he's involved in keeping South Florida connected to the world of Jungle and Drum and Bass.

As a True Underground DJ Casper strays away from the songs that everybody else is playing, and hes always searching for and finding new and unheard music. His next project will be Fire Star Recordings, a record label with releases from an onslaught of new producers ranging from Dubstep to Drumstep and Drum and Bass, carrying the torch for the next generation labels and producers emerging out of the South Florida region.
