Adam Reid (Dollop)Soul Clap's intergalactic album tour lands in London this April, fresh from travelling the universe spreading the sound of their long awaited debut album; EFUNK. On board the space ship will be the boys themselves chipping in with a 3 hour set, with support from fellow Wolf + Lamb artists No Regular Play performing their groundbreaking live show which incorporates them playing live on the trumpet.
Boston raised but now based in Miami, Eli and Charlie's debut album; EFUNK - 'Everybody's Freaky Under Natures Kingdom', shares the story of Soul Clap's musical journey so far, a voyage that has lead them to their current status as some of the game's biggest players.
Spread over 13 tracks the release is a concise summary of the boy's unique sound. Calling upon various members of their friends and family the album's tracks feature plenty of cameo appearances, such as Gadi, vocals by voices Of Black, Eli's dad on bass, and even Mel Blatt from ex pop act All Saints. The album tour is covering Japan, the States, Europe and beyond in the first half of 2012, and with this being the first London date, we expect one helluva party.
No Regular Play members Greg Paulus and Nick DeBruyn amazingly met at school when they were 8 years old, but it wasn't until 2006 when they attended a W + L party at The Marcy when No Regular Play was formed. Fuzing a mutual love of electronic music with Greg's jazz trumpet skills the duo's music has been released on their mother label Wolf + Lamb, Supplement Facts and No 19.
Their revered live set touches a wide range of influences, and focuses heavily on live instrumentation; a pleasure to listen to and one which we can't wait to witness first hand. Brixton's Plan B, with it's perfect acoustically treated main room and precise Funktion 1 sound system is sure to provide the perfect party environment for this show stopping party; it's gonna be a special one, hold tight!
