Soul Clap present The Efunk Album Tour featuring Soul Clap & Slow Hands photo gallery
Soul Clap's intergalactic album tour lands in Leeds this April, fresh from travelling the universe spreading the sound of their long awaited debut album on Wolf + Lamb; EFUNK. On board the space ship will be the boys themselves chipping in with a 3 hour set, with support from fellow Wolf + Lamb artist Slowhands performing his live show which incoporates his own live vocals.
Boston raised but now based in Miami, Eli and Charlie are no strangers to Mint Club, their previous performances all having been total show-stoppers, and this one is set to be no different. The album; EFUNK - 'Everybody's Freaky Under Natures Kingdom', shares the story of Soul Clap's musical journey so far, a voyage that has lead them to their current status as some of the game's biggest players.
Spread over 13 tracks the release is a concise summary of the boy's unique sound. Calling upon various members of their friends and family the album's tracks feature plenty of cameo appearances, such as Gadi, No Regular Play's Greg Paulus on trumpet, Eli's dad on bass, and even Mel Blatt from ex pop act All Saints. The album tour is covering Japan, the States, Europe and beyond in the first half of 2012, and with this being the first UK date we expect one helluva party.
To complete the party, and making his Leeds debut we welcome Ryan Cavanagh AKA Show Hands. From NYC, Ryan's sultry, ultra groovy sound fuzes disco and slo mo house, put together impeccably thanks to his classical and compositional musical training. A member of the Wolf + Lamb collective since 2009 he has since gone on to also lay down tracks for Permanent Vacation and Double Standard and has been a regular feature at Brooklyn's legendary parties at The Marcy Hotel.
Slow Hands' warm, emotional and soulful style is sure to provide the perfect accompaniment to Soul Clap this evening, and we can't wait to welcome him to Leeds for the first time.
