- DESOLAT & 2020VISION PRESENT 'OUT OF THIS WORLD' -

18HR SUMMER BANK HOLIDAY SESSION
MAY 6TH, 12PM-6AM
SECRET LONDON LOCATION
ALL DAY & ALL NIGHT IN 3 ARENAS

Having already helmed some stunning terrace and warehouse parties in London, 2020Vision have teamed up with Loco Dice’s influential Desolat label to put on another mouth-watering house and techno extravaganza on May 6th. The huge clash of contemporary titans is due to take place in a secret, three-roomed venue and will play out for 18 hours, both inside and outside, with two very special sets from headliner Loco Dice (one day, one night), plus offerings from both labels’ current crop including Martin Buttrich, Ralph Lawson (also 2 sets), Simon Baker, tINI, The Martinez Brothers, Guti, Debukas, PBR Streetgang and more.

The concept with this party is to make the most of the additional bank holiday hours by essentially operating in two halves: one outdoor day party, one indoor night party. Desolat boss Loco Dice - fresh off the back of another sell out Under 300 Tour - will play a first afternoon set in open air and a second evening selection under cover as a result (a rare treat for London folk!) - both pre 4pm arrival and post 4pm arrival tickets are available for this show, although frankly choosing between the two would be madness... The 'Out of This World' show will be spread over 3 musical arenas, where a secret outdoor terrace plays host to the first part (running from midday until 10pm) before the music takes a darker, deeper turn and everyone moves inside to an additional two warehouse spaces from 8pm. The final end will come at 6am the next morning once your mind has been blown and your body is well and truly rave-weary.

So, as well as the chunky, dubby minimal and techno funk of Loco Dice and the often disco tinged, unfussy house sounds of Ralph Lawson, you can also expect a live set from Dice’s studio wingman Martin Buttrich. One of the most skilled producers and performers on his time, Martin has released a number of intricate EPs and albums on labels like Poker Flat, Culprit and Desolat, joining the dots between minimal, house and techno with ease. Elsewhere, the Latin flavoured tech house of Guti and tightly woven groovy loops of tINI will be sure to get people dancing, as will the warm hearted disco house of 2020Vision new signings PBR Streetgang alongside fellow Leeds artist Simon Baker, an ever-present player since his ‘Traces’ album on the label. One of the vocalists on said album was breaking through Scotsman Debukas who is performing his debut 2020Vision live show just for us, which is bound to be a special one. The Martinez Brothers, meanwhile, are two of the youngest and most exciting DJ and production talents in the game. Having worked closely with the likes of Dennis Ferrer and his Objektivity label, Chris and Steve Jnr are assured modern day house champions: their sound is groovy house and tech, whilst their style behind the decks really needs to be seen to be believed. Last but not least, music obsessive Danny Raper the man responsible for organising the show will be on hand to serve up whatever is most appropriate from his vast record collection.

To make sure the event is truly out of this world Desolat are flying in their Time Warp production team to co-host the event alongside our already highly respected London based crew. Though there are solid parties in the English capital every weekend, this huge and festival sized line-up offers plenty of exciting treats - not only will it allow you to party in the sun before enjoying a rawer warehouse space in the evening, but so too will you get two varied sets from Loco Dice, a London first, who will surely show those in attendance why he is regarded as the behemoth of the current scene that he is. Out of This World in name, Out of This World in nature... we’ll see you down the front.

Wed, 09 May 2012Hi all,
Not normally one to comment - but it's nice to hear so much positive vibes about this event.
The entire production team worked very hard on this show - we supplied the audio side of things.

I'd like to quickly mention that it wasn't just Funktion-One equipment being used, it was also Martin Audio - which is just a bit less distinctive to look at! ;-)

One of the best shows I've had the pleasure of engineering for. Massive thanks to 2020:Vision.

Wed, 09 May 2012Total agree with everyone. This has to be one of the best parties ive ever been too in London (in my 15 odd years of clubbing). Arrived about 3pm to make the most of the day. Day to night moves seamlessly and everything was very well planned and thought out. I had tickets for the watergate party but these were forgotten about as I just didnt want to leave. Hightlights for me were Loco Dice on the terrace and Guti Live rocking room 2. Wow. Amzing party that is gonna be hard to beat. Many... More
