FUTURE OBSCURΔ, a new monthly live music and clubnight residency at the recently opened 'Powerlunches' on Kingsland Road. A mood of the Euro-aesthete, Hapsburg Empire sliding into decadence, historical avant-gardes, constructivism, futurism, science fiction. Each month are hosted two live acts, representative of the emerging coldwave/synth scene, plus invited guest DJays.1978-1984 roughly bookends the music policy... DIY electronic, its roots in late-1970’s Europe. Home fashioned authenticity, music intent on artificiality, Goth inflected industrial pop played on mechanized drum machines and synths.
