Seph (Cityfox, Klectik)
Hailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sebastian Galante started his study of music playing the piano and drums at the age of seven. In 2004, he entered university as an electronic arts student. At only ninteen, Seph’s debut E.P., Goust, was released on Igloo and he quickly emerged as one of the label’s main faces. Seph was instantly recognized for his live sets lasting up to four hours, playing alongside names such as Barem, Dilo, Gurtz, and formed an audiovisual duo with Pablo Denegri. He then started forming numerous collaborations with Jorge Savoretti, Pablo Denegri and Dilo. After releasing on a wide array of labels like Stock5, Kalimari, Phonocult, 11AM, and more, Seph’s tracks were included on compilations mixed by DJs such as Jeremy Caulfield and Ellen Allien. Seph calls German label Dumb-Unit his home base, with releases such as his Vodkrens EP and the 2010 critically-acclaimed debut album, Alquimia, showcasing his mysterious and IDM-driven vision of techno. Seph’s live act has been seen all over the world in clubs and parties such as Fabric (London), Arma17 (Moscow), Harry Klein (Munich), Fuse (Brussels), City Fox (Zurich), Flex (Vienna), Wa- tergate (Berlin), D-Edge (Sao Paolo), Kazantip Festival (Ukraine), MUTEK (Buenos Aires) Minitek (New York), SAMC (Buenos Aires), Lantern (Beijing) and Earth Freq (Brisbane, Australia), and he has held a residency at the Buenos Aires nightclub Cocoliche since 2007.
