Paddy Freeform's Universal Vibes returns to its original London home after a couple of storming nights in the last few months...
This time we are joined by an a real character behind the decks, the one only Deano Ferrino.
Raised on a cactus farm in a small village just south of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Deano Ferrino soon grew bored of the quiet, bright, vast outdoors and sought the confides of smaller, darker, more populated surroundings. Traveling north he stumbled upon the city of San Francisco, where he was instantly smitten with the pulsating rhythm of the disco sound and the masses that flocked to the clubs.
Realising a new direction in life Ferrino bought up all the stock at the infamous RetroFrisco store (where shirts were priced depending on size of collar) and headed over the Atlantic to conquer Europe.
10 years on and his sets are a mix of the deeper house sounds of Europe, the disco sounds of the USA and the percussive-afro-beats of South America. Now residing in the UK Ferrino has taken his sound nationwide, from promoting to DJing, as well as festivals across Europe. He's still ploughing through his selection of 70s clothing too(www.deanoferrino.co.uk).
The night will be hosted by Paddy Freeform, himself on fire at the moment after storming through a very hectic summer which saw festival dates at Bloom, Bestival and Lake Of Stars as well as setting up Universal Vibes records and cutting a path through some of london's most infamous nightspots.
