Just beFORE the weekend starts and you head out to PLAY, sandwiched between humpday and the beginning of the weekend, we strongly advise warming up with a dose of FOREPLAY in Tresor Club! If there was ever a darker hole in the week then it’s Thursdays – but no more thanks to the Spreekader crew. This time-slot is now filled with Foreplay and tonight Deepchild is on the decks, the Australian, Berlin-based DJ and producer aka Rick Bull…his original productions and remixes have featured on labels like Trapez, Resopal Schallware, Anabatic Records, Get Physical, Freerange, Dieb Audio and BEEF Records. Live and DJ performances from Vancouver to San Francisco, London to Berlin, Tokyo, Serbia, Czech Republic and beyond. As a core member of of the Trapez recording-artist roster, the Deepchild production aesthetic remains firmly routed in an exploration of “post-Detroit” machine-music – bass-heavy, insistent, angular, raw, noisy and dub-laden techno, with persistent references to classic-disco and soul rising and falling between rumbling proto-funk and mutant R’n'B. Urban Funk Techno is a good description for the center of Bee Lincoln’s extensive spectrum in electronic music. After founding his collective “Phobia”, he set the benchmark for underground and open air raves in the triangle germany-switzerland-france in the years after the millennium. In 2008 Bee Lincoln launched the booking agency “Beeson” and moved to Berlin in 2009, joining Neopren Booking. The Spreekader artist is in and out of the best Berlin clubs, spinning many hours his long, trippy sets around uplifting minimal techno to housy wildstyle and four-to-the-floor-techno. Add the electronica of Alladin K. to this night and you’ve got a solid, streamline dancing tunnel that heads straight into the weekend.
