As you know Forward has been concentrating on showcasing some of the best local up & coming talent for the past 3 months with appearances from SeRene, SO&SO & Wayne ‘Mogs’ Handley who have all brought their style & edge to what is becoming one of the most talked about yet still underground parties on Brums Friday night club scene

Moving FORWARD…for the next 3 months we will be showcasing DJ’s and Producers from across the UK who we consider to be a good representation of the ‘Forward’ sound you’ve come to know and love. For the first of these very special parties we are very excited to introduce to you a lad from ‘up North’ who’s been smashing it within his residency at Back to Basics as well as being signed to some of the most respected labels in the scene including Safari Electronique, Get Physical, District Raw and Mumur Records. We’ve had the pleasure of seeing this guy at Birmingham’s very own Below and can guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

As always our Guest DJ will be supported by the FORWARD residents and some of Birmingham’s best homegrown talent including debut sets by Omey & Orme, Absolute Soundsystem and Deep Glitch.

James Barnsley’s musical talent is testament to his dedication and showcases the best in quality underground house music. As a young DJ James already holds a residency at the world renowned Back to Basics at Stinky’s Peephouse in Leeds (UK), where he regularly plays alongside some of the biggest names in house music, recent gigs have seen him DJ with the likes of Kerri Chandler, Damian Lazarus & Mattaias Tanzmann to name a few. When he’s not setting the dance floor alight at Basics, you will catch him playing at nights all over the UK and Europe, Including Mulletover, Below, Just Jack and Space in Ibiza. James’s music production, his talent and hard work in the studio has already paid off and seen him signed to labels such as Get Physical, Murmur, District Raw and Amazing Music. His Production like his Dj’ing has received a great amount and support from the world premier dj’s such as D’julz, Steve Bug and Josh Wink. Watch this space as there is a lot more to come from this talented lover of all things house over the next year."
