★ because we love quality in music
★because we want to help Lithuanian producers
★ because nobody else is really doing it right :)
★ because we think it’s a great community service
★ because it’s really flippin’ COOL to run your own radio station!
Live internet broadcast on LTM and Elektrosfera.net from The Cave Gallery. This also means that anyone anywhere in the world can join our party!!!
Audio- visual performance by Ruta Rutt
Dark psychedelic audiovisual performance, part of digital art series Mia Forest. Images and sounds of nature, all recorded by us, transform into abstract shapes and music with distinctive organic feel and occasional use of industrial imagery in surrealistic way creates a contrast between the two. Soundscapes can vary from bird singing, water splashing to industrial sounds like drilling or hammering, heavily sampled to produce unusual electronic sounds.
What is Mia Forest? Well, it is a place, a place not on this planet, in another galaxy I think, though with so many similarities it could be in parallel dimension, well realistically it is all just the imagination. This beautiful, lush, mysterious land, not real, it does not exist, it's just the dream...
''Our aim is to create stronger networks and build platform for the talented artists to showcase their work. We try to work with as many artists and musicians as possible and integrate new people to the scene whenever possible. Our events are also a mix of different arts and music styles in one place, and we use these events mainly to raise funds for social and cultural projects.''
Part of ONE11 profit will be donated to the charity event known as ‘Noriu Buti Zmogumi’ (I want to be a human) which is organised by musicians, artists and Dj’s who have migrated from Lithuania to United Kingdom. The project is dedicated to all the children that have experienced bullying and emotional torment in schools, feel as misfits in this modern society or to those who do not receive much affection in their own homes. These children may potentially grow up to be traumatised as well as unsolved issues may negatively effect their future lives. The mantra of this charity is to help these children that have the potential to become inspiring individuals for the next generation. The mission is to organise a summer camp where professional artists with the help of various teachers and psychologists will spend time with the children helping them to overcome any potential obstacles that they are facing either in their families or socially. Thus, providing the environment for these unfortunate children to re-discover themselves in the new light. The team of the organisation strongly holds that art can help the child feel as a human being once again.
