Ever since last year’s ban on cannabis, you’ve felt little motivation to go to the Netherlands. Except for Anne Frank’s house (ultimately depressing), bicycle tours (potentially dangerous) and the Red Light District (... okay, got us there), you’re better off here in New York City. But on May 12th, get a taste of one of the Netherlands lasting legalities, Menno de Jong, trance DJ and producer.
It was the classic teenager’s dream, from fashioning beats on his father’s guitar and synthesizer, to spinning school dances. And then, DJing massive club events such as Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Cremafields, Mysteryland, Love Parade, Amensia Ibizia, and now, New York City’s Sullivan Room.
Menno’s closed numerous gigs for Tiësto and Paul Van Dyk, and played alongside the likes of Armin Van Buuren, The Prodigy and Marcus Schulz. A pioneer of the Podcast, (yes, you love free music), he spent the last three years producing the widely-syndicated Intuition Radio show. And your intuition is correct in telling you to attend this Endless event. Check him out intimately on Saturday May 12th, without leaving the city or risking a skinned knee.
