Here's full bios:
LENNY POSSO (Thema, USA)
Lenny Posso, born and raised in NYC, has been a part of the electronic music underground scene for nearly 20 years. He's been an integral part of several event groups in helping to curate some of the finest lines-ups to be found in the city from back in the early 90's till current day. His more recent series, Thema Nights and RADIO events have brought in some of the best talent from home and abroad held in various warehouse/lofts throughout the Brooklyn borough, for an intimate, but intense well received all nighters . Lenny has shared the DJ booth with legions of respected international and local artists in the electronic underground music scene in New York as well as in France, the U.K., Holland, Germany and Canada with many future dates lining up abroad to share his bold, energetic, unique blend of techno funk. His motivation lies in the pursuit to positively engage the audience with the most current and obscure sounds of today, as well as yesterday. Never forget your past or you will never truly understand the path of the future.
As founder and manager of Thema Recordings, he has created a platform that continues to develop and redefine the ever-evolving New York underground as the city's international profile broadens. Never conforming to one style or sound, Thema has built a reputation for putting out some of the most cutting edge, abstract, techno and house music coming out of the U.S. today. About to hit its 30th release, with no sign of slowing down and with a new sublabel-Chronicle, being launched in early 2012, for the more harder, sci-fi material. Look out for it, it will be a vinyl only imprint.
SAMULI KEMPPI (Deep Space Helsinki)
dj, producer and radio host from Helsinki, Finland.
Samuli Kemppi is one of the key figures of finnish techno scene. Hard working producer and dj who is always breaking boundaries and delivering fresh mixture of times past and days yet to come. His influences range from Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode to Sahko Records and recent Sleeparchive releases. His sound is described as icy cold techno style, a controlled exercise in minimal techno devastation, bass-heavy jacker grooves with shivering hihats and floating athomspheres…
JUHO KUSTI (Deep Space Helsinki)
Started playing records as a DJ in 2001 at Mbar, in Helsinki. My style lays firmly on deep house and techno rhythms and I host a weekly radioshow Deep Space Helsinki with Samuli Kemppi every Tuesday at Bassoradio 102.4 FM (Helsinki area) as well as promote Deep Space Helsinki events at Kuudes Linja once every three or four months with guests such as Cio D'or, Peter Van Hoesen, Sendai, Giorgio Gigli, Shifted and Donato Dozzy. Before djing I played drums and guitar in local bands so besides electronic music I'm also influenced by the likes of Sonic Youth, John Coltrane, Glenn Branca, Steve Albini and Einstuerzende Neubauten just to give you an idea of where I'm coming from.
Klaustrofobia is a one man VJ act originating from the world of contemporary art.
He has played his visuals since 2004 with various bands and performances, in club nights, festivals, fashion shows and in theatrical productions. He has also been exhibiting his art Internationally with the artist group ROR (Revolutions On Request). - http://www.klaustrofobia.com
Club Cosmique’s & FADE's founding member. Cosmique’s resident dj.
My first contact (and childhood trauma) to electronic music was at late 70's. Whenever I annoyed my big bro to the edge of madness, he lifted me up to the top of the bookshelf… lights out and robot music starts to play… from the red and black coloured album called The Man-Machine. So, I'm brainwashed to electronic music and grateful for it.
I discovered techno music in 1990 from Helsinki's Acidhouse-scene. Since then I've been playing records, for example at the legendary KY Exit Club and several warehouseparties. In the beginning of millenium it was time to creative break... But now I'm bringing the pulse back!
My dj-sets are built in mainly monotonic, but rolling and strong techno tracks. Tracks, which squeezes excitement, like the cosmic chase between the galaxies. I also like to add random classics to my sets, which arouses the salty taste of faded sweat from the wild years.
I'm a big fan of 70's soul, funk & disco music, futuristic/electronic pop and deephouse, but techno is something else. It's inexplicable state of mind and it gives you something unexplainable to just hear and feel. It feeds the energy and imagination and defines who lives inside you. BIG BLLSHIT.. Good music is just good music. - http://www.djboyjorge.com
