Born in Berlin, Todd Bodine is part of the fabric of Germany's capital of electronic music. Strongly influenced by the atmosphere created after the fall of the Berlin wall, he earned his reputation as a resident DJ at the world famous Tresor Club, a place where he performs his dynamic monthly DJ sets, even today.
But that's just one side of Todd's musical activities. He is a DJ on the dance floors of internationally renowned clubs in Barcelona, Paris, Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro, to name but a few. Beside his DJ career he has also been successfully producing music since 2001. In the beginning he released on the Berlin based Cabinet Records, followed by a string of releases on Tom Clark's Highgrade Records, Swiss label Morris Audio and last but not least: Tresor Records. With Tom Clark he shares a long term creative friendship, but this only party explains why Todd Bodine is such an essential part of the Highgrade artist family. He is also one of the most prolific and talented musicians on the label.
Besides several outstanding EP's, Todd Bodine has also achieved a rare goal in electronic music of three full studio albums: "Different Engines" was released in 2005 on Morris Audio, followed by "Surfaces" one year later on Tresor. 2009 brought "Forms", his first album for Highgrade Records. Three highlights in Todd's discography for sure, but clearly not the end. EPs on Treibstoff Records and Claude van Strokes Mothership label also contribute to Todd’s musical portfolio, along with remixes and releases on internationally renowned labels like Immigrant (Manchester) or Sub Conce (Spain). Additionally, Todd also collaborates with several musical partners: Dub Taylor (a.k.a. Tigerskin), DJ FX from Berlin or the Frankfurt based Highgrade newcomer, Ludwig Coenen.
In March 2007 he entered the next phase of his musical vision. After six months of preparation, Todd Bodine began to perform as a Live act. He started with a bang - playing live at Berlin's finest techno venue - the Panorama Bar. This heralded the start of another very successful project. He played both as a Live act and as a DJ on dance floors all over Europe on the "Our Thing" club tours of 2008 and 2009, and in 2010 Todd will again be an integral part of another groundbreaking musical project: With fellow Highgrade artists Tom Clark, Dale, Daniel Dreier, Marcus Homm and Jens Bond, Todd will perform in the "Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra", an electronic laptop symphony where Todd will act as conceptual conductor and key musician.
2010 sees Todd even more involved at Highgrade Records. Working as co-label boss, he takes care of A+R and label management, as well as coordinating communication on several ongoing and current projects. Such projects include the 10 Year Anniversary of the label and the now legendary parties at Berghain and Panorama Bar featuring collaborations with other top labels such as Freak n’ Chic and Wagon Repair.
Without a doubt Todd Bodine has earned his own place in the line up of Berlin’s most important producers. Either as a heavily booked international DJ, or as a prolific producer of quality electronic music, wherever and whatever it is: "it has to rock!"
Tim Xavier's passion for music has kept him on the forefront of techno since his innovative releases on Blueline in Chicago a decade ago. His career began in Houston in the 90s, and then on to Chicago, Brooklyn and now Berlin, where he has resided since 2007. He is a veteran to the industry; and his dark, edgy production style has remained uncompromised through the ever changing genres of techno and house. He is also the owner and chief engineer at Manmade Mastering in Berlin; and this sleepy-eyed coffee addict defines cool as he cuts master plates for many respected record labels.
Tim’s music has been charted and played by leading artists around the world, and he has worked with many labels such as Cocoon, Minus, Sci-Tec, Podium, Timefog, Little Helpers, Sleaze, Droid Behavior and many more. He is also the owner of his own imprint, LTD400, which encompasses his irresistible combination of quirk, funk, space and drive. Tim spray-paints his signature icon on 400 sleeves of each release, a process that he says connects him more closely to his music and audience. He also works with partner Camea on her imprint Clink Recordings, with Tony Rohr as the ‘Afternoon Coffee Boys’.
On Stage, Tim’s current performances include a mixture of DJing, Live and Effects manipulation, carrying out his visionas he sees fit. He creates a unique experience with his maximal sound quality and music selection, in which he combines loops and pieces from his own production. He is regularly on tour and performing across the globe, capturing his audiences with his signature sound. Tim's relentless devotion to providing cutting edge audio continues to keep him on the forefront of innovative dance music, and as he continues to grow it is apparent that we have still yet to see the best of his work.
