SPLINTER goes LIVE in November with a series of underground bi-monthly house and techno parties. Some high profile and seriously respected DJs and producers are already booked to take part in the shenanigans and unusually for some of these DJs, they’ll be ‘doing their thing’ in the confines of a small and intimate setting in Farringdon, a nightclub scenario not associated with that neck of the woods.
Opening party highlight sees Perc, a highly rated producer/record label owner/DJ and general very busy man dropping his minimal house and industrial techno, just one element of Perc’s musical armoury. Prolific as an original composer and remixer, his credentials are second to none with remixes under his belt of Trentemoller, Elite Force and DJ Hell. Minimal techno labels like Kompakt and Border Community (home of James Holden) further bolster his reputation through collaborations and remixes with their artists.
Residents Grant Tinto and Flabba Ghast will be supporting and supplying the fractured techno soundscapes in the basement with Bristolian guest LMB, resident at Dojo in Bristol also dropping in.
Splinter Productions head Honcho and long–time DJ and producer, Jel Ford treats the bar with a classic Chicago and Detroit set circa 1989 – 1993! Oscar Charlie, producer, DJ and artist manager at Splinter supports with some old skool hip-hop – think Stetasonic and A Tribe Called Quest.
NEW YEAR 2008 – SATURDAY JANUARY 19t DJ Billy Nasty (Tortured Records)
