One of London’s most seminal DJ/Producers, globally in demand, returns to The Mansion Project in Port Talbot. Not one to be conventional, his last Mansion Project appearance saw him climbing on the roof, above a sea of hands in the air, as he crafted his magic remotely from an I-Pad. What has he in store for his 2012 return?
In case you don’t already know: Dan McKie is the eccentric head huncho of 1980 Recordings and HotFridge Records. He is a Pacha resident DJ and recording artist, has had his productions and remixes championed by the likes of Roger Sanchez, Sarah Main, Andi Durrant and Fat Boy Slim “...This has festival written all over it, Heavy Shit!...â€, plus many, many more; Is no stranger to the top of the Beatport charts, Has remixed for Positiva, Universal, Warners, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland Stonebrideg to name a few; DJs all over the world from Hurgada to Minsk (not forgetting Port Talbot on occasion;) wows the audience at some of the Island’s trendiest events in Ibiza each summer, including his own underground London clubbing brand: Fish Don’t Dance. He is also an ambassador for HIV/AIDS charity Dance4Life and is endorsed by Apogee, Fabfilter and Focusrite – it’s quite amazing that this ultra cool, but mightily approachable DJ actually has time to rest – I guess we’ll sleep when we’re dead!
Check him out mixing up his own brand of twisted, grooving, phat ‘eclecto-tech’ at The Mansion Project – no fillers here son!
A well respected Mansion Resident; Phil has 2 UK#1 Club Chart remixes under his belt and tracks already signed to record labels such as: Pacha Recordings, Warners, Big in Ibiza, 1980 Recordings and Loverush Global Records to name a few, Phil England is making massive waves in the music industry with DJs (having been billed alongside Justin Robertson, Matt Jam Lamont, Marshall Jefferson, Artful Dodger.... the list is too long) and with his weekly syndicate show, The Mansion (Global Radio Show). You know what to expect? An impeccable groove, old skool references all with a highly infectious tech/prog edge. Expect some homegrown bootlegs and mixes thrown in for good measure.
Having worked the circuit of South Wales & further afield as an upfront DJ including parties at world famous Escape Nightclub (Swansea), Tiger Tiger, Liquid, Red Rooms, Lava Ignite, Club Yoko's, Orange Bar (latvia), The Warehouse (Bristol, featuring Joey Negro) and heading up the main set at The Mansion Project.
Mike now turns his hand to production. With credible collaborations with Phil England (Big In Ibiza, Loverush Digital, etc) and J-me Griffiths (MOS) expect great things from this fresh new talent as 2012 unfolds.
Renowned on the circuit as South Wales’s #1 UK G DJ, being the original resident of Escape Room 3 as well as Garage Nation, Sun City Exposure. 2011 was a massive year as he unleashed his summer smash “Sun Goes Down†receiving the remix treatment from Detox and 8th Note and gaining airplay on a selection of specialist radio shows including DJ EZ on Kiss 100.
At the Mansion Project, Gary turns his hand to his other love, that of Chicago House. Turning out a sophisticated, deep, soulful and funky set with a classic or two dropped in, Gary D brings summer alive!
Pioneer of all things trance and progressive, Chris has recently enjoyed success at the top of the download charts with releases on EML and Freefall Recrodings. Now, pretty much a Mansion Project resident, you know what to expect: Full throttle progressive-house mayhem with big melodies and epic drops.
