The VIVa Warriors closing party means big business. While Steve Lawler, Darius and Luis may have sat firmly as residents of the party this summer, one name has yet to have graced the line-ups. Saved right until last, the absolute wonder that is Derrick Carter slaps his presence in the face of the white isle for an all night battle with the Warriors. Carter has stayed underground, even after his notoriety as a DJ has seen pop acts knocking on his door. Derrick’s sets are rooted in house, seamlessly incorporating old-school disco, soul, jazz and whatever else takes his fancy.
