We're delighted to be co curating this night with No Quarter, bringing our East London folky, vintage, eclectic flavour over to the west side of town. We are even doing cupcakes to celebrate!
Kicking off the night, we have the Watford based, creative and talented singer songwriter EMMA WILSON. Fusing together influences from Jazz, Folk and Chill out, she always creates an interesting, new sound to entertain her audiences.
Following on from her we have the brilliant ISRAEL CANNAN. In 2010 Israel Cannan travelled 22,000 kilometers around his homeland Australia singing songs in the streets and capturing hearts in the process. This year he decided to trade the streets for the stage and headed to the UK armed with the new album "Walk" in which he wrote, recorded and played all the instruments on. After only a week in London Israel was playing and showcasing in some of the best venues the city has to offer. Back home, in Australia, National Broadcaster Triple J were featuring Walk on their Unearthed podcasts and The AU Review even named "Walk" as #19 on the top 40 Albums of 2010 (Worldwide).
Next up is the incredible ELISSA FRANCESCHI. Named by One Republic’s Ryan Tedder as the one to watch, Elissa Franceschi is an electric performer with a distinctive powerhouse vocal. Following the self-release of her 3rd studio album 'Into the Light' she has been making a name for herself through grass roots promotion and haunting live performances with her 7-piece band.
We then bring you some old favourites from our sister night, TV Nights in MAUD IN CAHOOTS. These Irish born female led band with their unique setup in Violin, Cello, Tuba, Keys and Drums have been through quite a unique journey and have been setting audiences alight with an interesting sound which is rarely, if ever heard.
Finishing off the evening will be the fantastic NO ROOM FOR GIANTS, a south west London based female-led, soul-influenced alt rock band that drives melodiously through intuitive piano lines and buoyant guitars, with a punky edge.
